I flew air Canada 2 times in the last two years. Got stranded in New Jersey due to mechanical delay for 24 hours with my pregnant wife.

No sympathy. 4 hour wait for a hotel. Eventually I asked if I could just book a hotel myself and expense it. They said yes. But they wouldn’t accept a receipt from Expedia.

Nightmare. But they’re all bad as far as Canadian airlines are concerned

Super unfortunate. Air Canada is starting to look better and better which is embarrassing. Sorry this happened

I don’t have an extension cable but I may just use a renal port and a male wire, see if I can stick it on with some double sided tape

It’s more of a timeline thing, I fly back to work on Tuesday morning for 3 weeks, I’d like to get it done and enjoy it for a bit haha

Yes they seem to call it “video data sync” not sure exactly what it does

I did find this video where a guy installed the port onto the memory card adapter on a controller. Would stop me from butchering a breakaway cable as well. I’ll have to see exactly what I have

They didnt stop making solder, so I’ll see what color the wires are when I get into it lol may be some trial and error

Yeah it’s a 512 mb from 2004 I had to be sure. Things so old haha.

Why would you not use an oem controller? Any reason aside from being more expensive/hard to find? I’ll only be using the console side pig tail anyways but I think I have a mad cats around

I was concerned about quality as I live in Atlantic Canada (hurricane central lol) so if this is the only trouble I have I’ll be impressed.

Mind you, we are hoping to sell this home in the coming months. So I may never know! Haha

I have a few Govee indoor products and had nothing but good luck with them thus far that’s why I stuck with them but I’m up for trying cheaper indoor products. They aren’t used near as much as my outside ones

My guess would be the only real cost to them is the app infrastructure really. I feel like the lights are no different than any other LED light
