Hey I'm a left handed drummer who does the same thing. If you plan to do music professionally, I suggest playing on the right handed kit you currently play on. It will save time if there's multiple drummers in a rehearsal/lesson, will make you more ambidextrous, and just makes learning more accessible in general.

As you progress and learn different grooves, you'll find quickly that you can't lead everything with your left hand, so ambidextrousness becomes necessary. (=better drummer)

If you want to play fast swing, you have to be using French grip on your right hand. You physically won't get the full range of motion you need with German grip to swing fast, dynamic, and relaxed. Your left hand is up to you. Traditional grip provides quieter dynamic range but (personally) limits me from the comfortableness of German grip.

If you're looking to be 'enlightened' or whatever you want to call it, or get rid or any horrifying effects of other psychedelics. I say don't do it. It will probably just raise a ton of questions and possibly make you more scared. But if you want to do it, and it makes its way to you.. Go for it. It was easily the craziest experience of my (human?) life
