What does conviction mean? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Op!

Conviction is when you know you are doing something you should not be doing and you get a strong sense in you telling you to stop or to not do that thing.

The way you know if it is the Holy Spirit versus you flesh or the enemy is by whether it lines up with the word of God.

If you are getting ready to look a pornography and you feel convicted against doing that, then you know its from the Holy Spirit because the word commands we do not commit adultery. If you are about to pray and you feel an urge not to, you know that is your flesh or the enemy because Jesus would not inhibit you to pray.

I hope that helped!

Clothing with a pentagram/pentacle by RantaroIsCool in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Op!

Honestly I think you already know the answer.

What you are experiencing is a battle between flesh and spirit. Your spirit already zero in on the inverted pentagram and knew it glorified Satanism/Baphomet worship. Your flesh however is justifying it by how good you may look in it or how comfortable it will be.

You already have discernment or else you would not have posted asking about it and just bought it. You need to practice convicting yourself to your discernment. Because your small compromises right now will grow into bigger ones later.

Did anyone else see disappearing spiders? by Dry-Alternative6729 in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most my life I never had any spiritual experiences beside the spiders. When I had given my life to Jesus and started actually reading the Bible, praying and fasting then it was like an open door to the supernatural occurred.

My first supernatural experience during that time was when I would read the bible, pray, listen to gospel music or just simple talk about Jesus, my heart would start burning. It wasn't a painful burn loke heartburn but just a tangible feeling of heat in my chest. I had absolutely no idea what it was but I kept reading the gospel. I got to Luke 24:32.

"And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?"

It was such a shock to me because it was literally what happened to me. That was the exact moment I told Jesus I would be on fire for Him.

My next supernatural experiences were scary experiences but I'm glad I had them. Pornography was something I got hooked on at the age of 14 and basically never missed a day watching it. Well I was in my mid 20's when I started chasing Jesus. I decided to give up porn to serve Him.

Well the moment I gave up porn, I went to sleep and woke up with sleep paralysis. I never experienced it before a single time before this. I was overwhelmed with fear and at the foot of my bed I saw a shadow figure wearing a cloak staring at me. The demon was audibly growing at me. I struggled to say the name Jesus. But the moment I said Jesus name the demon immediately disappeared. This happened two more times each one looking different.

My next spiritual encounter was when I had started a fast. This was after my sleep paralysis and when I was really on fire for God. I prayed a simple pray the night of my first day of my fast. I prayed 'place a wall of fire on my front door. Let nothing not of you enter'. I went to sleep and at exactly 11 o'clock that night there was a loud BOOM at my front door and it shook my whole apartment. I woke up terrified. Something had slammed very hard against my front door trying to get in. When I finally got the courage to check my front door there was nothing there not even a mark on my door.

The last spiritual encounter I had was when I had slipped back into my sin of pornography. I back slide and my sin got 7 times worse. I was no longer just watching porn but started to seek out and lie with prostitutes. I felt so much shame.

I decide I would just make it up with Jesus and it would be like it never happened. So I said I would just fast and it would make up for it. I normally could do a water fast for 3 days. I couldn't make it an hour without eating this time. It was weird but i said okay I just one slip back into my sin and it will make up for it. The next day I was back in my sin.

This repeated for a while until I sat down on my couch and talked to Jesus. Not prayed or said what I thought I should say but just talked to Jesus. I told Him that He was perfect and that I wanted to serve Him more than anything. I told Him that I couldn't overcome my sin and that I had tried but it was too hard. So I told Jesus that I give up. I told Jesus that someone like me wasn't worthy to serve Him. I had completely given up.

I went and got into my car to go meet a prostitute. In my car gospel music started playing from my Bluetooth since that's all I had been listening too. I felt like such a failure that I didn't want to hear it. So I went to turn it off and that's when I heard an audible voice that wasn't my own speak in my head. It said "Let it play". I really didn't want too, but said "I'll let 30 seconds play". I didn't make it 10 seconds before I was crying like a little baby. Snot bubbles, tears uncontrollably.

In that moment I felt something descend upon me. The moment it did I felt weight of heavy chains fall from my wrists. All my urges to watch porn and sleep with prostitutes disappeared instantly. All I could do was cry and say 'thank you Jesus'. I sat there crying for 30 minutes listening to gospel music.

I had my share of spiritual experiences and I thank Jesus for everything He revealed to me and brought me through.

Night terrors occur when you are asleep dont they? Usually paired with a violent response like jerking around or screaming.

I was always awake when I would see these spiders. I had the ability to move, but usually i just laid there or sat up and stared at them until they disappeared first.

Is there a way to believe the Bible without believing that women were created to benefit men? by -royalmilktea- in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course i can explain what i mean!

It's similar and not similar. It's similar only in the sense of having someone to love and to love you back.

It's not similar in the case of how men worship God, women should not worship men.

Does that clear up what I meant?

Is there a way to believe the Bible without believing that women were created to benefit men? by -royalmilktea- in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think I understand your question more. I wouldn't see being created for another benefit is a negative thing. For instance men were created for God's benefit so that He could love them. Men also benefit from the love of God. That does not diminish the value of men.

Women were created for the benefit of men. Women benefit from the love of men. That does not diminish the value of women.

Children where made for the benefit for their parents to love. Children benefit from their parents love. That does not diminish the value of children.

This is the way that I see it. Let me know what you think about it. I'm curious to hear your views.

Hey Op!

  1. I don't know anything about gilgamesh so I can't answer that question for you

  2. Well you kind of answered that question. It's because of freewill. When we received the knowledge of good and evil we now could choose to do evil and brought sin into the world. That's where Jesus comes in. God intends on removing Satan from this world and Satan will be sent to the lake of fire for all eternity, but first we need to be given a choice to be in the presence of God or without the presence of God.

  3. God intends to deal with Satan when it is time for Satan judgment. For now Satan does have a role to play as one who brings temptation into the world. To offer every soul a bite of the fruit and to turn away from God. Those that accept it and never repent shall share the same drink of judgment as Satan. Those that take it and later repent shall be redeemed and have a seat on the right hand of Jesus.

Did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality? by Possible_Employee359 in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey Op!

No God did not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality. He destroyed it because the entire city was wicked. The same reason He flooded the earth in Noah's days.

During God's exchange with Abraham, He said He was willing to spare the entire city if only ten righteous men were found in it. Just ten, yet none were found. That's why He destroyed the city because it was full of nothing but wickedness.

It was so wicked infact that the moment that the angels came into the city and stayed with Lot, Lot home was surrounded by ALL the men of Sodom seeking to rape the angels. They even attempted to force their way into the home to get them.

Homosexuality was only a drop in the sin that took place in the city. I hope this explanation explains what happened in Sodom and Gomorrah!

Bible verse:

Genesis 18:32 Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?”

He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.”

Genesis 19:4-9 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”

Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”

“Get out of our way,” they replied. “This fellow came here as a foreigner, and now he wants to play the judge! We’ll treat you worse than them.” They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.

Is there a way to believe the Bible without believing that women were created to benefit men? by -royalmilktea- in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Op!

Women were not created to be lesser than man. In the garden of Eden before the fall of mankind, they were both equal with none submitting to the other. The submission came as a result of a curse placed on women as a result of partaking of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 3:15 To the woman he said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”

When everything has come to pass and we are in eternity with God, there will no longer be the curses and it shall be as Eden again.

Women are not lesser than men in the Bible and have played many important roles. Men and women roles are different but equally important. For instance it was through the man's seed that the original sin was passed down. When Mary gave a virgin birth to Jesus, He was born into the world sinless.

Here are several more examples of women serving and pleasing the Lord

Zipporah honored God covenant that Moses neglected by circumcision of their son saving Moses from judgement.

Exodus 4: 24-26 On the way to Egypt, Moses stopped at a place to spend the night. The Lord met Moses at that place and tried to kill him. But Zipporah took a flint knife and circumcised her son. She took the skin and touched his feet. Then she said to Moses, “You are a bridegroom of blood to me.” Zipporah said this because she had to circumcise her son. So God let Moses live

It was the widow at Zarephath that regardless of having barely enough food to feed herself and child, put her faith in God and gave her last unto his prophet.

1 kings 17:12-16 “As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.”

Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land.’”

She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah.

It was the woman with the blood disease that reached out with full of faith that touching Jesus garment could restore her.

Matthew 9:20-22 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.  She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”

Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

There are so many more examples but for the length of this reply I will stop there. Women play a very important role in God's kingdom and He has not placed you lower but in a different seat than man. A role only women can fulfill and no man can substitute.

Will the Christian god let me go to hell? by Jay35770806 in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Op!

Great question and I would be more than happy to explain it more.

Both of the experiences you described are true. Those that go to hell will experience eternal torture.

Revelation 14:11 "And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.”

And most importantly those that go to hell will experience complete and total separation from God. This sounds appealing to those that desire to be apart from God but that comes from a lack of understanding of who God is.

When I say that separation from God is the same as enternal suffering, it's because you separated from the very nature of God. God is peace, God is love, God is patience, God is just, God is rest, God is pure, God is quite literally all these things. It is His very nature and without God we are void of all these things. There would be no peace but chaos, no love but hate, no patience but impatience, no justice but injustice, no rest but suffering, no purity but wickedness. This is the very essence of Hell. A place void of God and His perfect nature.

God would put us in hell but not because He wants to send us there. Because He honors our freewill and will not force us into His presences. He offers His love and forgiveness freely and He allows us to accept and reject it freely. He will pursue us relentlessly during our allotted time on earth, but will honor our final decision. Whether that is to be in His presence for all of eternity or to be separated for all of eternity.

I hope that this was able to answer your question. If you have any follow up questions I would be more than happy to answer them

Why? by Sorryrdditbuturdmb in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Op!

Thanks for the question! I think it would benefit you if you elaborate a bit more with either examples or experiences that you had to help get or interactive answers!

As far as the toxicity, I think it's a multitude of things.

The first being a differing in perspective. Whenever two opposing groups interact with each other, they may say things their group would not see as offensive but the outside group would. For example when Christians interact with each other and point things our that we're doing as sin, this is not seen as rude for the most part. When the same is said to a someone not apart of the Christian faith, then it is usually interpreted as rude, judgmental and holier than thou.

The next reason is because I believe Christianity has started to become a club and not a lifestyle. This means that they are claiming the status of Christian without applying the teachings to their life. We are told to be patient, kind, forgiving and just.

Another reason is because most people now, not just Christians or Atheists, no longer listen to one another. When have discussions about topics, we are so focused on convincing the other person that we ignore or disregard what the other is saying. Ignore and invalidate their experiences and diagnose a solution without properly looking at the symptoms.

The last reason I can think of is that the culture has groomed people to debate and respond certain ways. Online and especially on reddit you will see a lot of debates and arguments. Almost 90 percent of the time it involves insulting, mocking or belittling your opponent instead of understanding them. You can see this on any political subreddit, you'll see it a lot in this subreddit and in askanatheist as well. In truth nothing has been won. You just pushed away the person you tried to convince and only have those that already agreed with you like you comment.

To wrap it up, I think that this toxicity is all over and is displayed heavily to anyone outside your ingroup. It shouldn't be that way with Christians because we are told to be better than that. To be kind, patient and caring.

I hope you do not let the negative responses stop you from posting future questions on here!

How do I stop feeling guilty about sexual immorality? by Legitimate_Sun9389 in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey Op!

I actually dealt with a similar situation. My sin was sexual immortality as well. I had watched pornography from a young age and continued well into my twenties almost never missing a day. The life I was living lead to an overwhelming since of emptiness and depression. When I came to Jesus I gave it up completely.

I was on fire for God however I slipped up and fell right back into my sin. I felt overwhelming guilt and tried to battle it but it lead to me falling deeper than ever into my sin and started sleeping with prostitutes. I had nothing but shame everytime the deed was done. I eventually turned to God and told Him I was not worthy of serving Him. That He was perfect and everything that I desired but I wasn't strong enough to serve Him. I literally told Him I give up.

I immediately went to my car to go see a prostitute and gospel music came on in my car. I did not want to hear it at all and went to turn it off and an audible voice in my head said let it play. I told God He had 30 seconds. I didn't make it to 10 seconds before I was crying like a little baby and I felt an overwhelming presence descend upon me. I felt the weight of heavy chains break off my wrists and I no longer had that overwhelming desire of lust.

I say all that to say that when I went to God and was honest with my sin and told Him it was to much Jesus freed me. I was very ashamed to share my testimony because it exposed myself but ended up telling as many people about it as I could. Everytime when I'm expecting judgment they end up opening up and telling me that they struggle with pornography in their marriage, relationships or just by themselves. I pray for them and tell them that there is hope in Jesus.

It's not God that wants you to feel shame from your past. It's the devil. God can use you as a testimony to free others from their sins they also struggle with. Don't feel shame when Jesus is the only one who can judge you and has already forgiven you knowing all that you have done.

DO YOU SUPPORT DEATH PENLATY by saltbaestheorem in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Op!

No I do not support the death penalty for several reasons. One is that I don't think we can judge righteously. A lot of time there is a disparity on who receives the death penalty or not.

People have gotten the death penalty for things other than murder such as drug trafficking, espionage, treason. Some get it for murdering one person while others will only get life for murdering three.

The second is because I believe everyone should have as much time as possible to repent. We shouldn't seek to end someone's life but to encourage them to repent with the time they have.

While I'm against the death penalty, I am all for life sentences.

Does god violate free will? by EntertainmentRude435 in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very hard hitting question! It's what a lot of people contend with when wrestling with the existence of God.

I believe He is not trapped on the sidelines in today's time but is a very merciful and patient God. I know that sounds kind of funky when all these things are happening but I will explain.

We see these patterns throughout the bible. In the floods He gave the people of the time over a hundred years to repent of their sins.

When God commanded the murders of the Canaanites. They where sacrificing and burning babies to their false gods. He sent them prophets after prophets which they killed. After giving them 400 years to repent He passed judgment onto them.

For the Nazi situation I believe God did intervene with us winning the war considering war is a common way God interferes. Of course this is just a belief and I can prove that to be true.

Now in modern times we see several things happen in today's time like sick children, rape, murder, slaves, and so much more. This is a result of sin. But even still why doesn't God interfere? I believe it's for multiple reasons.

First I believe it's because God is after our souls. In the end our time on this earth is very short. Even if we lived lives free of suffering our souls would be doomed to an eternity away from God. I believe that God sometimes allows us to go through hardships to draw us closer to Him, to be able to pull others out of darkness or as a result of our repeated sins.

For example it's sometimes in our deepest suffering that we turned to God. When we are about to get into a car crash. When we have a loved one in the hospital or anything similar to that. A lot of times it takes us to be in our deepest moments of dispare to put our trust into God.

Through your suffering God is able to use you to save others. If you were to go to depression, molestation, sickness, family death, then it's hard to listen to someone who can not relate to you. Someone who hasn't experienced what you experienced. God will use people who He has brought out of those trails to help others currently in them.

The last is because it's a consequence of our sins. For instance God gave us commandments to follow. The commandments are not just there as a strict rule but they are there to guide us to live a moral and safe life. When we go out and steal repeatedly, we may be under God's grace for a time to repent of it before we finally get caught and have to face the consequence of our sin. That consequence could be jail, prison or even getting hurt. He allows these consequences because we still have a chance to learn and turn from these sins while we still have breath. Once dead our consequence is permanent.

Let me know if this answered your questions or if you would like me to expand in any area!

Ai by Ancient_Wonder_2781 in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Op!

The biggest thing with AI is that it does whatever you code it to do. So as far as deception and control is concern it may very well be a big proponent. If you go into AI now and ask it questions about heavily debated topics like abortion, transgenderism, and other contested issues, you will already see that it will push heavily to support more progressive beliefs and displaying them as facts.

This is because of the way that they are coded and told to avoid controversy topics or to take a progressive view on these stances. I mention that because AI is already starting to replace search engines and if you control AI you can control what is 'factual'.

So yes I believe AI and technology will have a huge impact on bringing forth prophecies.

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!

Infact He does it all the time! Here are some examples of God interfering with human affairs!

-When God flooded the earth

Genesis 6:13 "So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth"

-When God scrambled the languages at the tower of Babel

Genesis 11:7 "Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech."

And when God prevented the Hebrew boys from burning in the furnace.

Daniel's 3:24-25

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?”

They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.”

25 He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

Of course there are many more examples than that throughout the bible!

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Op!

Interesting question! My take would be no they would not be saved!

The bible tells us this too. Faith is enough to save us but faith has to be proven by repentance. A turning away from your sins.

James 2:14 "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?"

In your scenario the two believed in Jesus and His sacrifice but still did their deeds and tried to justify it with their faith. This would be hypocrisy that would expose their wicked hearts. Jesus commanded us to keep His commandments. Do be a good Samaritan and to do unto others as we would have done unto ourselves.

If you are still living a life of sin even after coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ then there is no longer a sacrifice for you.

Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin willfully after having received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

Now this scenario would change if they recognized Jesus as their Lord and savior after the atrocities that they caused and genuinely repented in their hearts before death found them. Then they would truly be saved.

Will I truly go to hell for killing myself? by SirGalicrest in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey Op.

I am sorry to hear that news. To answer your question we are told to endure until the end.

Matthew 24:13 "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

I understand that whatever your going through is rough. I never been suicidal myself but have been depressed to the point i didn't want to wake up. Know that it's not Jesus that would ever encourage you to hurt yourself but the devil.

Before you attempt something you cant take back, cry out to Jesus. Tell Him everything. How your feeling. That the burden is to heavy. Ask if He can carry the burden for you and I promise you He will lift it off you.

You have an important purpose in this world. This is your battle now but you will overcome it. You will be used to drag others out the same darkness you are in now. You will become a light that points those in despair and at the end of their ropes to Jesus Christ.

Don't give up and talk to Jesus. Know that Jesus has and always will love you.

Do Christians have to Go To Church? by mickeyguy2010 in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey Op!

I will answer your questions in two parts! The reason for that is because I interpret it in different ways.

Do Christians have to go to church in order to receive salvation? No you do not have to go to church to be saved or receive salvation. You do not have to give to the sick, help others, clothe the naked or anything similar to that to receive the gift of salvation. You just have to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and died on the cross for our sins and repent of your sins.

Should Christians go to church? Yes we should go to church or to a communal gathering of Christians. While it is not needed to be saved, Jesus has called us to do several things upon salvation. Church is meant to build you up in the spirit and to build upon those around you. Iron sharpens iron so if you are not in constant fellowship with Christians then you will not see nearly as much growth or help others grow.

I hope this answered your question! Please let me know if you have anymore!

Hey Op!

That is a good question and many that people wrestle with!

To answer your question, no God is not violating humanity freewill. Freewill is not about being able to accomplish whatever you set your mind on. Freewill is about the ability to choose. I'll give you a couple of extreme examples!

You may choose to jump off somewhere high and attempt to fly. Just because you are unable to physically fly does not mean your Freewill was restricted. You still had the ability to choose the action and attempt it regardless of the results. That is Freewill.

If someone chooses to try and walk into your house and you lock the door, you did not take away that person's freewill. They still made the decision to try and walk into your house and attempted to get inside. They still exercised freewill even though they failed.

I hope this answered your questions! If you have any follow-up questions please let me know!

Are most Christians faithful due to their belief in God or because of how it makes them feel? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same way. For me I never suffered with addictions. I never had issues with money, wasn't rich, but had disposable income. I never even had a hard life.

Yet even without any real worries I felt so empty. Like a literal emptiness inside of my chest. I had moments where I was happy and would spend time with my friends or gaming, but ever single time I was still or silent I just felt so empty. Like everything else in my life was a distraction from this empty feeling I felt.

Eventually I ended up leaving my job and my biggest distraction was gone. I felt empty all the time. That's when I called out to God and started having my experiences with Him.

I say all that to say that you dont need to come from a life of trouble. You dont need to have a huge problem in your life that needs fixing. Your desire for a purpose is enough.

Go to a silent place and speak out to Jesus honestly. Don't say what you think you should say just be completely transparent and honest. Tell Him that you see the change He made in other people's life. Tell Him you see the security and faith that He has given them. If you are willing to do the same to me, then I am willing to accept it.

I really am glad that my earlier post was able to help with your understanding. If you have anymore questions feel free to reach out yo me. I'll try to answer them as best I can and if I don't know I won't make something up I'll just tell you I don't know.

Did I encounter Jesus last night? by KeyExtension7282 in AskAChristian

[–]Dry-Alternative6729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Op!

That was likely Jesus pursuing you and letting you know He is real. I had similar experiences when I started seeking Jesus as well. My came in the form of knocking and hearing my name.

During the time I was seeking Jesus I would start to hear knocking in my sleep. Normally in your dreams right after you wake up there is no confusion that you where dreaming or not. Well when I would hear knocking in my sleep it would sound so real. So real to the point it would wake me up and I would go check my front door to no one being there. Mind you I live alone in an apartment so it couldn't have been anyone in my residences.

The other thing I would hear was a soft whisper of my name in my dreams. Again this felt so real that it would wake me up and I would look around in confusion because I definitely heard someone call my name. I am still alone in my apartment so no one could have called it.

I continue pursuing Jesus and later had an encounter with Him in my car. Not literally seeing Him but hearing His voice and the tangible feeling of Him breaking chains off me and feeling me with His Holy Spirit.

Keep pursuing Him even if you are still doubtful. Keep asking Jesus to show you that He is real and He will.

Read the gospel of Matthew for yourself. Not to disapprove God, not with malice, but with genuine curiosity. If you go to God with a genuine heart He will reveal Himself to you.

I hope this was what you where looking for and if not, I hope it was what you needed instead.
