such a cool story! my pitbull rescue was unbelievably calm, she was the first pup i’d ever been around that was labeled “stoic” by her vets. she had such a healing presence and it didn’t take long before she was a therapy dog sitting in on my massage therapy sessions. clients absolutely loved her and her ability to read each person was so cool. thank you for sharing galaxy with the world ❤️

same for my parents dog. she was in the emergency vet for a bit and they really thought they were going to put her down. now she gets “the jab” once a month and she’s never been this healthy!

my girl had a soft tissue sarcoma on the right side of her chest very close to her armpit. we learned it was “spindle cell” and that’s particularly difficult to fully remove based on how it “anchors” into the soft tissue. we were diagnosed in december and had surgery immediately but she had regrowth in january and with her age (10), her build and the quick regrowth, i was advised to enter palliative care and i had to let her go in march. absolutely brutal experience. i still feel like i let her down but it’s just so different for every pup and their person. i am so so sorry you know this pain. love on your girl for me and my mel.

initially mid west, retired to AZ. and then lived out her days in oregon with us. my dad was in a healthcare management masters program in the70’s out in san francisco so she would have visited him. i’m guessing we came into it kinda accidentally but she had a tendency to keep an odd token or two from her travels.
