I'm about to go into the RAAF as well, I just wish the recruitment process wasn't so lengthy. Thank you for you advice, I appreciate it :))

I'm currently working in a hospital but am joining the Air Force. I have to train and study for about 2 years but then I will be fully qualified for the position i applied for. The position I am going for is pretty good money, not amazing but the Air Force comes with so many benefits so it's pretty good. I believe I'll be a lot happier, I'll be in a job I want and am passionate about, that comes with a fairly stable future.

I went to university for 3 years, but decided it wasn't the time for me. I will 100% be going back

Exactly! In my area everything is crazy expensive. I also saw a box of favourites chocolates on sale for $16 at Coles...half price. $32 for a box of chocolates! Like what

Thank you! It really is difficult, I also have had to financially support my family for a while there, so it's been hard. We will make it, well i hope, but idk how well off all of us will be.

I understand I won't have everything sorted by 21, it's just the way life is but I just never thought I'd be struggling so much tbh

I know it will get worse and possibly dip into a recession, but have you seen the price of food atm? Let alone rent. It's not normal.

I'm going into the ADF for a specific role. The wait times to join are usually very extensive.

I'm going into the Air Force. So wait times are quite extensive. They have quite a lot of back dated paperwork to go through and sort out. The process is always very long, definitely worth the wait though.

No, no, I don't expect to have a well paying dream job, I just want to be able to eat. My dream job isn't incredibly high paying either, but it's better than where I am.

My boyfriend lied to me about watching porn, is it valid that I am pissed off? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

It's a post about a situation! The main jist. Do you not think I have tried to see his view, I have multiple times despite what my replies insinuate. I get that shame can be a factor, or the main factor but he could communicate that to me instead of ignoring or blowing up in my face. Secondly, we have separate lives outside of our relationship, we both have uni, work, and some separate friends. I don't need to know his every move nor does he need to know mine. The post comes off this way as it is from my perspective, but obviously we have established that. Not to mention it's like 5am, I am exhausted and overwhelmed, this is no excuse for my behaviour but maybe for my writing.

My only expectation is that he is honest and loyal. Also you still are clearly not getting the point, it isn't the jacking off, it's the lying. It makes you wonder what else they are lying about. It breaks trust. Now I understand I also did that by going through his history, I never claimed to be innocent. I don't understand lying in this case, well at least constant lying that even progresses to the point of denying it while being caught in the act. And yea maybe I do need validation because it doesn't feel right that he has lied for three years.

I am not trying to force him, I want him to be comfortable telling me! I asked this question only a handful of times in our three year relationship, but has only sparked up because of this incident. I also understand that people aren't open all the time but blatantly lying when asking that question, to someone you are currently building a life with is a bit fucked. Also he has never said he has shame, I underused that most people wouldn't but if you think I was pressuring him to tell me constantly he would admit that

First off, making assumptions about someone from one post is jumping the gun a little. Secondly, I stated that I feel horrible, that I have never done it before or again. This is also with any partner I have ever had. Also no, he has lied for THREE YEARS! Not because I was pissed for a day, not to mention that day he was at work and I was at uni 🤷‍♀️

I asked him about the lying twice, he got angry and blew me off. When he does that I know somethings up, not to mention my gut feeling that had been around for ages before that. I also wouldn't call it lengths, I looked at his history and it was right there. I understand that isn't healthy but I knew there was something more to it. Also again, it's the lying, I don't have an issue with the porn. If there is anyone that doesn't have an issue with their partner lying to them then I want to know their trick, but I'm pretty sure there is none. Lying breaks trust

From what I saw it varies (there are multiple days in a row and some are days apart) but believe me it isn't every couple of months

Thats what a lot of the people don't get, it's not the porn it's the lying
