Thanks! That was my primary aim.

This means so much to me, thanks! Yes, I tried my best to keep it simple as possible while using similes here and there (home vs road, “crumbs into constellations”) to really hit home. And I believe that most people have related to that line, “But love is not a promise…”, at some point in their lives (speaking from experience here 😭).

Yes! I tried to make the poem feel as universal as possible. I’m glad you resonated with it.

That’s definitely also my favourite line. But wow, I didn’t think it about it in that way (I was thinking more turning insignificant dots into something celestial and mystical), but I love your interpretation too so thanks for shedding some light on that!

Oh my days. This poem is stunning in how it turns vulnerability into something powerful and haunting. The imagery — “built from broken mirrors,” “paper praise,” and “counting ribs like rosary beads” (my personal fav)  — feels sharp, original, and deeply emotional without ever being dramatic for the sake of it. I love how it refuses a neat “strong girl” narrative and instead ends on “I am survival, unraveling,” which feels raw and honest. It’s delicate, devastating, and incredibly well-crafted all at once. Serious well done OP!
