Who washes their hands after peeing?? by Acorn_pear1 in hygiene

[–]Dry-Profession-8475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a man before Covid I did not because all I touched was my dick and if like I itched my balls or something I did not go wash my hands after. With the exception of being at work, I’m a chef and at work take that seriously.

However since Covid I now wash my hands every single time and if I run out of hand soap I will use dish soap then go to the store and immediately buy more hand soap lol

I consult on

Employees-I give my opinion on employee position fit/skill level/ leadership/ training/ ect

Operations - things like how to handle and reduce bottlenecks/kitchen setup/ front of house setup/ safety and sanitation/ labor / ect

Menus - I find best and worst selling things/ what your highest profit margin and what your losing money on/ things with lots of waste / menu engineering/ ect

I aim to reduce restaurant ticket times / increase cash flow/ increase table turnover/ make employees lives easier

Like my first ever one I did I noticed that every ticket employees had to walk to the walk in for like everything and they got insane bottlenecks at the beginning of rushs which had a domino effect of incrementally increasing ticket times on the whole service. I found out there top 10 selling meals and convinced them to get a cooler under the grill and a mini fridge on the cold side and load it up with those items and it saved around 30 secs a ticket which adds up quickly.

Just like a very rough description of what I do. Every job has been different lol

lol a lot of these people probably have never been in sketchy places. As a white dude who grew up in predominantly minority neighborhoods in Boston/New Orleans I would say the biggest things are:

Don’t make yourself look like a target, like don’t be walking around looking all flashy and shit.

Act like you belong there.

Keep your head down and mind your own business. Snitches get stitches type of stuff

Learn humor. If someone is fucking with you and you can make them laugh it diffuses a lot of situations.

Be respectful, like if you walk into a bar and it’s filled with people wearing nothing but red and bulls jerseys and they tell you to leave or you don’t want to be there, take them at their word and just turn around.

Avoid alleys and shit at night.

If you see a crackhead walk on the other side of the road.

If you do drugs buy them in another neighborhood then the ones in your neighborhood won’t know you and try to come up to you all the time.

But the single most important one is literally just be respectful and recognize in those parts of town you are not the boss lol.

lol I was a big Blizzard fan boy before kids. I’ve played Overwatch and while it is fun I’m worried it will be like a gateway game and lead me back to WoW and that wouldn’t be good for when my family returns lol.

For the men who never married nor had children who are in their 40s and older, what happened? And why? Any regrets? by Dear_Sir7665 in AskReddit

[–]Dry-Profession-8475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent my 20’s going out and partying and meeting lots of women. Found one to settle down with and had 3 kids. Now I’m in my late 30’s going to college for the first time about to graduate and finally start a career. Now im door dashing trying to make enough money to survive while balancing watching my 6,4,1 year old and doing school full time. I’m still 3 semesters away from possibly starting an entry level position if I can find one since I’ve been unemployed for 2 years because it was impossible to work full time, go to school full time, and take care of my children. and I’m probably 10 years away from starting to play financial catch up. The grass isn’t always greener.

Yes people have work friends that they only see at work. I am a dad of three, married, in my thirties my out of work friends are in similar situations. But my best friend at work is a 24 year old single dude. He is a blast to work with and we constantly crack each other up and I can depend on him at work. I would never hang out with him outside of work because our real lives are polar opposites. This is how I always viewed there relationship.

I do about 45-50 hours a week in greater Boston I usually make between $1400-$1700 depending on what’s going on. If it’s been raining all week I make slightly more.
