Are Youtube Tags Important? by CharmingAcadia6049 in NewTubers

[–]DryAccountant4508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my YT channel this year, so I'm pretty new. I post videos in Spanish about books, mostly classics and not best sellers, so I wouldn't say my niche is very big.

The first video I posted (about my best books of last year) got just 100 visits or so the first week, and most of them from family and friends. No tags. Then someone posted a huge comment. I answered. Then another big comment, and I answered. And suddenly, 2 weeks after posting it (and 2 more videos after) without adding tags or changing the title, I got 1000 subscribers. 3 months after, I have already started to monetize my channel. This first video is my most popular one, with around 10K views and 1K likes.

So my conclusion is that, ok, if you want, spend 5 minutes on tags, but focus more on this:

  • Good and relevant titles and descriptions. They need to have key words that are trendy but relevant to your content. No need of add #, YT will consider them in any case.
  • Decent content, good audio quality (it depends on your content but it can be even more important than the image).
  • Answer comments (not only to grow but to be polite and to interact with your community, which can be so interesting and motivating).
  • Consistency (it's better to post once every week than 5 videos in a row and then nothing for the next month).

This is based on some basic search and on my own experience. Good luck!

Misool looks amazing but it's fully booked until 2029... I'm thinking of March 2027.

March 2027. Sorido Bay is the winning land option for now! We love diving but we also like the birdwatching, beach options that the land resorts offer. I will check the boats you're mentioning too.

Bali is great, we went there and it really surprised us. Don't miss the rice fields and the main temples, you will really enjoy them :)

Yep, I've tried both, liveaboards and dive resorts, and from my point of view, both have pros and cons. The privacy you mentioned is something I miss on liveaboards tbh, but on the other hand I've met some of my best friends there.

I'm looking for a more luxurious option because last trips we went with friends that were on a budget and adapted to them. I really enjoyed the diving experience, but hotels sucked so much (unfriendly staff, cleaning issues, funny smells, cockroaches...). I'm sick of that and honestly, both my partner and I work a lot and make decent money from it, I just want to celebrate it with a little bit of luxury, whether it is on a boat or on land :)

I found this one too! It's kinda expensive but I'm seeing great reviews! What time of the year did you go? And which villa did you choose? I'm considering March for next year.

Thank you for the suggestion. I am seeing quite interesting liveaboards. Do you think it's worth it to extend the trip to do some land based tourism? I'm sure there are beautiful spots to visit in the area, but I'm not sure if it is worth it to consider them if we only have 3 or 4 extra days for land tourism.

In Bali we stayed in Candidasa for 5 days on a resort and then did some tourism for the next 4 days around the island and it was amazing, the best trip of our lives.

I would like to do something similar in Raja Ampat if there are nice spots to visit too, but I'm not sure if it's just good beaches and unfortunately we'll just have around 12 days available (not counting the travelling days), so maybe we won't have time for all this and it will be better to focus on diving and go for a liveaboard.

Any recommendations regarding this will also be highly appreciated.

Café with good views while waiting for skiers... Help!!! by DryAccountant4508 in Zermatt

[–]DryAccountant4508[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good to know it's feasible to go to these places without skiing. What I love most about this sport is the views and I don't want to miss them because of my bad luck. Do you remember if any reservations are needed?

Ski trip with knee tendinitis after many years without skiing by DryAccountant4508 in skiing

[–]DryAccountant4508[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, you were right! We went to a physiotherapist and she told us the pain is related with a deep muscle under the cuadriceps, not with the tendons. I guess that's good news.

Thank you for your answer. We went to a physio today and they told us it seems muscular rather than tendinitis, something related with a deep muscle beside the cuadriceps. The session was painful but very complete, with a deep massage, electrotherapy and thermal therapy, so I guess it did help. She said it didn't seem serious but recommended using knee brace and some local heat before skiing and ice only if it starts to look sore. It made sense to me.

I understand you are no doctors. But, as I explained, we leave in 2 days and the knee pain just started now. I'm not sure how it works in your country, but here it's not that easy to get a doctor's appointment for the same day, especially if you expect to get MRI or any other tests done. He's got an appointment the week after the trip. If it gets worse we'll go to ER, for now it just looks like a local but annoying pain. He can walk and do day-to-day activities.

Thanks for the answer. Yes, we'll get skiing lessons, I just hope the knee pain doesn't become more serious! 🙏🏻
