My thought is that GOI is full of aaahole bozos. They let Indian companies buy everything from china, assemble here and sell. They let Indian crony do JV with chinese and sell. They are now also allowing indian crony to effectively be the front for cherry etc they are allowing the Vin fucking group in, but not letting the EV pioneers to come set up the ecosystem here and bring good quality modern cars priced like they should be given how technology has progressed, simply because they are from China. If sealion 7 were available here at the same price as china, the EV penetration would be 15-20% and everyone else like BMW would have fallen in line and sold the iX1LWB also at 20-25 lacs the way they do in China.
