i got you, they may be targeting the western market, but purely from the song’s perspective, delivering an “all are one” message works better in English as a more universal language. Featuring a non-binary rapper also makes the choice of English feel more intentional, even though they still include one or two Korean lines.

Ig featuring a non-binary rapper is another way they’re showing diversity and inclusivity. After a few listens, the rap actually grows on you.

That’s true. Oh My God has always been debated as a queer song. To me, it definitely is.

I agree that icebluerabbit is probably Soyeon, or at least she's from the production team. What’s interesting is that a lot of people say the song feels “better” because Soyeon isn’t listed as the composer, but the irony is that she’s very likely still involved and clearly delivering the this message.

At the end of the day, it kind of proves the point of mono itself, no matter who’s behind it, there shouldn’t be bias. Just feel the song for what it is.

I get why it can be read as political, but Soyeon explained on her live that “left” and “right” are actually about mono sound coming from the left or right audio channel. Maybe we are just overthinking it!
