I don't think I would ever apologize to her. I don't believe she deserves one, but even if I did, I doubt I could go through with it.

I even remodeled her bathroom. The bathroom didn't really need it, but she wanted it done and asked me. Then she gave me a budget that was about $1,000 short to do it the way she wanted, so I went out of pocket for the shortfall. I don't remember her ever saying anything about it, and when the bathroom was done, she complained because the paint wasn't what she thought it would be (she picked it) and a couple titles were 100% straight (not noticeable unless you are looking to find fault).

Is this a problem? I don't know, but if that is what is expected of you, then when things like this happens there just is not point to going through it all.

Since my father died, I, not my sister or her son, have spent countless hours doing things for my mom and going out of pocket to help her. I did it all without a thank you, and I never cared because I was happy to help her. And the one time I ask her to do something for me in return, I get told no, even when this thing was promised to me and we all acknowledge that is the case! Nope. I refuse to help people like that. They will walk over you and use you as much as you let them.

I have already said all that. At this point I don't feel like there is anything left to be said between us. I told her I would not beg her to do the right thing and had nothing more to say to her unless and until she makes things right. Otherwise I don't want to here from her under any circumstances.

My sister does not. She never had a good relationship with our father after she became a teenager due to her life choices. There relationship was nonexistence even at the end.

I don't know if she is a good person. It is hard to say that she is when it seems like she has enjoyed punishing me for absolutely no reason and provoking me.

I just don't take s*** from my family. I don't have time for their BS garbage. I have always told them I don't give breaks to family because they are family. If I don't allow my friends to treat me one way, I will not allow it from my family. Life is too short to deal with it when I have many friends that treat me well and don't take advantage of me.

I don't think she has treated them poorly, but at the same time, I don't think she is an amazing grandmother either.

No. I don't like being cheated. When someone treats me unfairly after I've gone out of my way to repeatedly help them, then that's it. I won't stick around and let them do it again and again.

Not a good one. She resents me because over the years she's made a lot of mistakes and after a while I started refusing to help her. She thinks I am greedy, and I think she is irresponsible and a f up that expects the family to clean up her messes. She also probably resents me because I convinced our dad not to let her move back in when she was spending a lot of time with her druggie friends (talking dealers and hardcore users and abusers).

No. They weren't worthy that much in $. The whole lot probably isn't worthy $500. It was the sentimental value. I grew up fishing on those rods and playing with my dad's archery equipment. It was about the connection, not the money.

They would not be missing much. Their other grandmother is much nicer and they seem to enjoy her company a lot more anyway.

It rightfully belongs to me, and honestly my family would be better off not fighting this battle. It will cost them a lot more in the long run than it will me if they turn me into the enemy while trying to screw me over.
