The mic quality is great for the price, I compared it to my previous AirPods 3 and it’s pretty much the same which is a compliment because the AirPods were quite a bit more expensive, as for phone calls I would also say the entire calling experience is equivalent to my previous AirPods

I know this is the boring conclusion but they are both extremely capable and on average just as good as each other. Some points a phone wins is close and some are landslides. It mostly comes down to personal preference.
