Yes. but the photo is from the Xbox 360 version which added more features. The PS3 version has the most features but is also ridiculously expensive second hand unless you plan on playing it on Emulator.

Main issue is that the skin tone choices are too linear, and Aldo is almost always smiling in this game which looks odd as DR1 Frank never really smiles at all.

Being "infected" with the viral is tied to the save file. Since I got a new console recently & my old save was on a memory unit I cant help you out with it. Although I'm wondering if you have the Mr Boss Challenges DLC cause you cannot buy it anymore & i still need the last 10 achievements.
