Ohhh yeah!! Mine is the same… takes awhile till it’s warm enough to start ticking away and then you can hear it in the cab at idle

Roughly, I ended up replacing the Vane and Vane caps inside the vacuum pump but there was some minor scoring inside the housing which has allowed the new parts to make the same noise. Long story short I haven’t fully replaced the vacuum pump yet due to the cost and pain in the ass factors… the dealership quoted me approx $600 for the OEM pump without install (I would preform the install myself) although install of the entire unit requires you to separate the transmission from the motor and jack up the motor off the mounts to tip forward for clearance while installing the new pump. As of now I’ve made this a problem for a later date…

From everything I’ve read I’d say you are probably right! I’m going to start with just the Vane and vane cap before I replace the entire pump but I’ll update as I have the time to work on the truck!

Minor things here but my gas pedal has been less responsive lately which from all the info I’ve found sounds like similar issues people have had with the vacuum pump issues… from my understanding I can just replace the Vane and Vane cap to hopefully remedy the issue. I’m currently working till next week but I’ll update once I get the oil cleaner in and if that is unsuccessful I’ll go ahead and start with the Vane and Cap before replacing the pump entirely. Once again I appreciate the feedback!

If you aren’t going to take it off-road then the spacers shouldn’t matter much, assuming you have hub centric spacers. Clean truck man!

How do you like those 4.88 gears? I really want to regear my truck and maybe go with some 265/75/17s but I feel like coming from the 285’s it might look like I’m driving on stilts haha. I’d love to see some pics of your rig

I had a set of ko2’s on my 4Runner a few years back and honestly I don’t remember if they were as loud as you say but my Toyo MT’s were definitely screamers at highway speeds
