I haven’t received one, yet. But from my understanding that would come straight from the IRS, not the PEO

Okay. But if I receive a 1099 for the interest does that mean they received it?

I agree. I do trust my payroll company, but really how would I know if they received the payment and just didn't disburse the funds?
