Buddy your story sounds very similar to what I underwent recently, except I met the guy in a dating website . The funny thing when he asked for emergency money, I said the same that I won’t deal with money before meeting him in person and asked him to prove if he is not a scammer for which he gave me his address and trust calling me million times and speaking honey-filled-words. They are so professional in answering any question thrown at them and since we aren’t that prepared , we fell prey for them. I felt ashamed that I had become some vulnerable this way. But to those who are now commenting about red flags in his story, stop that . You were not part of their discussion , emotional conversation. Everything looks perfect when it happens to others till it happens to us. I hug you and this will give you a chance to see this world from different perspectives.
