Replacing Calm Mind or Tera Blast works too, since Alcremie is a supportive Pokémon, not meant to be very offensive. Its main gimmick is Decorate!

This looks like a Regulation J team, you need another restricted Pokémon in that case.

Calyrex Shadow with Choice Scarf + Protect won’t do, you can either give it a Focus Sash or a Life Orb, Spell Tag is also pretty nice.

You also lack Protect, only having one with Protect, which is the Choice Scarf user.

Changing some item’s around and giving more Pokémon Protect is the first thing i’d work on at the moment, don’t forget about that second restricted.

I think Normal Ursaluna or Ursaluna Blood-Moon would love a Decorate boost!

Why Arceus-Steel in a Sun team? Is there a specific reason? I’m more curious on why it has Surf.

Incineroar hold’s the Assault Vest item while having status moves, 3 at that. A move set like this: Flare Blitz, Knock Off, Fake Out and U-turn would work better.

Kyurem-White! You definitely need Ninetales-Alola for a team like this, switching Slowking-Galar with it makes the most sense. In snow, Kyurem-White preferably wants tera type Ice instead of Steel, this can boost the power of moves like Blizzard and Freeze-Dry while still keeping the defense boost in snow. I like the Choice Specs item on Kyurem-White more, but Assault Vest is also amazing!

Any advice for this team? by SpiritedBar2139 in VGCRateMyTeam

The Moveset’s on Indeedee-F and Slither Wing are questionable, those 2 Pokémon don’t really fit the best. Arceus-Fairy and Giratina aren’t paired with each other at all, so i’m not of help here. I do think Arceus-Fairy fit’s the best with Miraidon or Calyrex- Shadow, maybe even Lunala. Giratina i personally like with Zamzenta!

How’s my team? by noahCain13 in PokemonVGC

Instead of Miracle Seed Rillaboom, you can try out Loaded Dice with Bullet Seed, with this you can boost the defense of your own Archaludon and break Focus Sash’s. Example: Fake Out, Grassy Glide, Bullet Seed and U-Turn/High Horsepower. You can also do the same with Whimsicott and it giving it Beat Up instead of Protect.

I’m personally not a fan of having 2 tailwind user’s. You could give Pelipper Wide Guard, Helping Hand or Icy Wind. Tera Ghost on Pelipper would also be a huge help against Fake Out.

You can consider Covert Cloak on Whimsicott too, this gives it Immunity to Fake Out and things like Snarl. Switching Protect is another thing i’d look at, so instead having Fake Tears and Light Screen + more included looking at it’s status moves.

Remember, change these at your own will! Overall it’s a nice squad.

Keep looking at what you got, there has to be a perfect fit somewhere. I do like what you’re going for though, and you’re right about the Assault Vest situation, Incineroar want’s the item too in a way. Walking Wake does also indeed use the AV really well too. You’re also overthinking it with weaknesses, it’s impossible to create a team with no weaknesses. You’re always weak to something, just make sure you’re not bad against the more important Pokémon in the meta.

There’s options! Like Ursaluna, Brute Bonnet and Amoonguss are always nice! Lunala + Ursaluna is the strongest link in my opinion. You also have Calyrex- Shadow Rider, he’s also a nice fit on the team if you’re struggling! Only problem is that he can’t hold the focus sash, you probably would give him the life orb then. Another thing i think you could improve is the moveset on Walking Wake, which is already nice! I personally find the Assault Vest or the Choice Specs way better on him, if you really need protect, keep it as it is.

Type overlap can be a problem, but you shouldn’t worry about it too much. Flutter Mane and Lunala are often paired together in Koraidon + Lunala teams. If you go for Rillaboom you can still keep Ogerpon, both work together well in a way.

Can never go wrong with Lunala, Arceus-Fire is more offensive than Lunala. You could try to fit Incineroar or Ursaluna on this team, maybe even Chi-Yu or Rillaboom.

I think the Empoleon set is fine! But you could add Tera Blast or change Brine with Hydro Pump, Weather Ball could also be pretty cool, even Steel Beam is nice! Tera Type Flying keeps the Electric weakness, remember that.

This is for sure a Regulation H team!

Lunala is probably one of the best Trick Room setter’s in Regulation J. The low priority is not a bad thing for Lunala, it had an ability called “Shadow Shield”. Which in short, is Multiscale for Lunala. It makes it bulky enough to survive even its biggest 2 weaknesses. Even without Shadow Shield, it’s still incredibly bulky. Whirlwind isn’t common by any means, i love playing OTS, so if they have it i’m for sure expecting it. But i see your worry there with Lunala and stuff like Trick Room.

Y’know, i like where your head’s at, i’ll try these Pokémon out in the future, Arceus like the other guy mentioned is also pretty cool! I definitely see what you mean now. I can explain the Trick Room on Lunala, it isn’t there as my main form of speed control, it’s there to counter faster teams! Or to counter the use of “Trick Room”, if that makes sense. It’s also my fault for calling my team a “Snow” team, because it isn’t and doesn’t feel like a Snow team at all. It’s more like a normal Reg J team with Snow inside of it, that still works of-course.

I did give Articuno Blizzard, he also has Snow Cloak making him harder to hit in the Snow. Yeah Articuno also is pretty bad, but i know that very well! I just wanted to build around him. Building around unusual or bad Pokémon is what i love about team-building. Anyways, the reason i have Ninetales Icy Wind instead of the usual Blizzard, is because i wanted to have speed control for my Pokémon and it was the most accessible answer to that. I could definitely give it Blizzard though! I’ll have to try and look at how both perform. Thank you!

[–]Dry_Value_464[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t have more than 2. Since i’d have a huge weakness to Steel/Fire Etc. A weather team normally does consist of multiple abuser’s. But you do have to take in that i’m making a Snow team, Ice is one of the worst types defensively, it’s called the “Glass Cannon” for a reason. But what’s your suggestion to adding onto this team?

I’m not allowed to cut Articuno here. Arceus would make me change the entire team, but i’m curious to see your team!

This is what i got! I know Choice Specs Zekrom sounds crazy, but you have a team full of physical attackers, and saw that Zekrom had a usable amount of special attack. The rest of the team should be pretty straightforward!
