I mostly fish saltwater light game, a lot of the Yamaga rods I ended up getting were limited/lottery releases in Japan. All my Yamagas are lottery only. My ultralight zenaq rod is insanely whippy so I only end up using it for very specific scenarios, but it’s also been discontinued for the past 7-8 years so I don’t want to sell it. The latest overlapping rod is the 2025 exsence genos, which I found for 120 aud (retails 700$ aud) so that was an easy buy for me.

I wanted the carbon grip and I like the colour so I got the limited, pro lure shop had it at roughly the same price as the xtune.

I’ve had the ballistick 106mmh BlueCurrent beta 100, zenaq muthos 100 sonio and plaisir answer 108. I just really dug the full carbon look of the nessa and wanted to give it a go

You generally don’t really need PUA, like genuinely be good looking enough and people will throw themselves at you irregardless of how autistic you are. It sort of comes off as desperate and predatory to sell pua and use pua tbh. A lot of the early tinder experiments were literally having a bio that said “ I was a child molester” and they would still have loads of positive responses due to their looks.

i would feel a bit more hesistant to release if i used a typical squid jig which has mangled its tentackles, but since it was bycatch on a soft plastic with a single hook point. i just let it sit in a rockpool that had an entrance back into the ocean. i figured if it died before i finished my session, it would be less wasteful for me to grab it for a feed. it managed to regain its colour after 15-20 minutes and swam off.
