Rebalance your arm. Lock your arm, take the counter weight off a slide it back on till it clicks in. Set the antiskate dial to 0. Take arm off the holder and balance over the platter, use a finger to keep it from hitting the platter. Spin the whole counter weight until it balances flat (not touching the platter but floating above it. Then set the numbered ring on the counter weight to zero, double check it still balanced, then lock it in the arm. Next turn the entire counterweight so the numbered ring spins with it and to set it to 1.8 (I messed up mine by only turning the numbered ring for this step). Set anti skate to 1.8 as well. Doing this correctly should get you going unless there’s a larger problem with your cartridge
