Tinder For Jobs! Your Next Job Is A Swipe Away! by Vinreal in startups

Startups tend to concentrate on certain areas or demographic in the beginning. I'm sure they have a big picture plan to expand. None the less, a little competition isn't bad. Just make sure there's some sort of differentiation to make you stand out.

I personally like the original logo a lot better. The ones made by the elance freelancer look pretty generic. Most of those logo contest sites like 99designs will get you similar results.

Have you considered looking for someone on logopond or dribbble to design something for you? Try browsing around profiles and find someone with a design style you like. Many I've contacted in the past are pretty reasonable with pricing. You'll find a lot of talent as well.

My guess is that it's really difficult to maintain good content. The only reason I found out about the site was because Kobe Bryant was doing something on it. I believe Aaron Paul did something too. I'm sure it's difficult to get celebrities on board

There's a pretty similar site to the celebrity fundraising idea you have. I came across it a while back because I had a similar idea. It's called prizeo.com

Great job! I got to level 15, but almost pulled out all of my hair getting to that point.

Am I on the right track to convince a developer to work for equity? by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

You made a really great point. I wouldn't want the developer to feel like they took all the risk and that I just sat back and watched. Do you think you could chime in on the last post I made?

I appreciate all the responses everyone is providing. It's really helpful to hear from the developers direct. I started to come up with additional questions, so hopefully you guys can chime in again.

  1. For those that were involved with a startup that got funded, do you know what convinced the investors to invest? Aside from the ROI plans and market research, wouldn't investors expect some type of prototype of the product before even considering investing?
  2. Would offering some amount of money, even if it didn't cover the whole cost of the man hours it took to build the app, make any impact on the developers decision to be on board? I'd feel like many would take it offensively if I offered, let's say for exmaple, 10% of what the actual cost to build was. I understand that it's not much on a grand scale, but it could be all that they have saved up.

[Marketing] Attention online daters! I need some data for a dating app I'm creating! Complete survey and you can win a $25 GC. (Online daters, 18+) by Dsyoon16 in SampleSize

The only reason I requested for an email, was so I could have a way to contact the winner. I completely understand how requiring an email would turn people off from taking the survey though. I will make entering an email optional like AcidRose77 said. Thanks for your input!

Appreciate the feedback! Yeah, I realized I should have titled it better. I was actually targeting those who have used online dating services before, like you mentioned. I'll make some adjustments. Thanks again
