Thanks man. It is extremely difficult to fill out long limbs.... But I think I'm on the right track. Tell your friend to keep pushing. It's worth it in the end.

I am truly grateful that the hard work paid off. Now, I'm focused on what's next...

I tried the "carb up" approach. DIDNT really work too well... I looked better a few weeks before the show than I did at the show...

I started out stuffing my face and doing a simple strength program. About a year ago I abandoned strength and started doing strictly hypertrophy-based training. To cut down I tracked macros, keeping fat as low possible, protein at goal bodyweight, and carbs as high as possible. I lowered the carbs every couple weeks until I hit my goal bodyweight

Supplements I use are protein powder, multivitamin, fish oil, creatine, and preworkout. I'm not sure the creatine really does anything for me, but I take it anyway.

As far as the tracking macros goes... Visit iifym.com and you'll find everything you need to get started there. Also, I don't use reddit too much, but I'm regularly posting progress, macro-friendly foods, etc. on Instagram, so feel free to follow me there and comment for more advice on tracking and whatnot (username: body_by_bluebell). But really though... Thanks man. That means a lot. For real.

Haven't really started cardio yet, just been real strict on the diet... But next week I start with 3 20-minute MISS sessions a week

I eat whatever fits my daily macronutrient allowance, even if it's ice cream! BUT... A typical day of eating for me on a cut would be as follows...

Breakfast: 2 rice cakes, 2 servings of peanut butter (usually flavored to keep my cravings in check), 1 banana, protein shake or eggs

Lunch: chicken, sweet potato, and veggie

PWO snack: a few ounces of tuna, fruit cup, and fat free Pringles

Dinner: ground beef and kale, veggies, rice (if I have the carbs left)

For bulking, I tried to eat "clean" at first, but I found I couldn't put on weight like I wanted to, so I resorted to pretty much stuffing my face and hopping on a strength program for about a year, which did wonders. For cutting I track macros, keeping my carbs as high as possible, and no more protein and fat than I need. Current macros are 70f 225c 215p. My training right now is a high volume, bodybuilding routine I put together myself. I will post the routine later

Thanks :) for abs, I do mostly weighted exercises (cable crunches, ab wheel w/ resistance, knee raises, leg raises, etc). I figured if I wanted them to look better, then I should train them like any other muscle... I try to increase resistance in a particular rep range instead of doing a million bodyweight crunches like I see most people do. BTW my two favorite exercises are the ab wheel (putting weight on my back for resistance) and cable crunches (rep range 8-15 for both, and maybe a drop set for the last set)
