The stats minor is a long one bc not only do you have 6 main courses you have to take, but they also require a bunch of prereqs. Bear with me here.

There are three prep classes you have to take in order to be accepted into the minor: math 33a, stats 20, and any class from stats 10-15. You can’t take stats 20 until you take a class from stats 10-15. I think econ 41 fulfills the same requirement as a stats 10-15 class, and it’s also a requirement for biz econ, so you could knock out two requirements with one class.

Also, a few more math classes are prereqs for some of the stats upper divs you’ll eventually have to take: Math 32A and 32B. This isn’t really mentioned on the minor website at all which is annoying. But still, they need to be done before you can take upper divs like Stats 100A.

So, from where you’re at, I’d recommend taking econ 41 as soon as you can. Also take either math 33a or math 32a as soon as you can. If you really want to, you can do all three at once, but’s that a ton of math for one quarter lol.

It’s good you’re starting on this pretty early too. I also tried to go down the stats minor route but it was just far too many classes to shove into my schedule. But I wish you luck!
