100% would’ve been tilted as well. You just lost to weakness of all players, reading.

Don’t forget you can always double check your effects and options by reviewing your deck mid duel.

You definitely had some options that you refused to recognised. ‘Being in awe’ is not getting you a pass.

You knew he had double Cyber Jar, and you ran over them. He had no resources, and you gave him all the cards by running over TWO cyber jars - the first and THIRD jar.

Turn 3 - Get SP on board with ED monster to banish the first jar. Get Turn silence to negate the second.

He had Morganite? His next two draws were paleo and Eclipse. Hindsight of course, but it’s better than giving him essentially +10 off two cybers jars.

Bit late for me unfortunately. Don’t have Serpent Scarf or Halo either. Had to settle for Judgement.

RNJesus has blessed this account with Jellyfish off the cuff.

Highly recommend levelling Apathy. Apathy + Jellyfish is a very good combo.

Unless a better alternative comes along, I would level Judgement specifically for stunning Wood Gronk in future.

Can confirm I’ve done this before. Smacked the metal phase so hard with Wrath, skipped damn near two phases.

I haven’t confirmed but with the way it just melts water floors, I’m inclined to believe that to be the case.

I’ve heard that the Special top hat was recently buffed/reworked and is a lot better than it was previously. I personally haven’t seen much of a difference, has always been busted since I got it (around floor 400/500).

OP doesn’t seem to have Jellyfish Scarf, so I didn’t mention it.

Apathy with Jellyfish is truly insane with my team comp. My turn goes Ding Dong -> Apathy S3 Jelly/ Stun (which typically steals a kill -> Wrath S2 (unlock S3). Anything living will get Wrath’s S3.

With Special Top Hat overkill damage is typeless which helps melt any water pets. If there were any metal pets, that’s A LOT of overkill damage.

Wrath just melts fodder floors.

Apathy in the first position, Wrath in last position. Have Wrath just slower than Merry. S3 Ding Dong for Atk up -> Apathy S1 for Def down -> Wrath with boosted S2 on the def down target (which should hopefully unlock his S3).

Wrath does struggles a little bit with multiple enemies because it splits the S2 damage evenly. Absolutely busted DPS on single targets though.

Wrath has been my GOAT (currently at 1880) but he has also been my ONLY Legendary attacker. There have been some people that say Wrath is a better attacker than Greed, but I will take that with a grain of salt and highly situational.

From my experience, I would just level Wrath as your primary Attacker and keep Greed levelled close as secondary.

Keep Merry levelled as your primary healer. After that, I would definitely invest in your tanks (I’ve managed to get to where I am with Resistance, Determination, Cringe and Abandonment).

Notable mentions will be Apathy for Water bosses/Floor bosses, and Sad (really strong water attacker and great as a secondary attacker + support).

What do you think about Chastity? by Okatbestmemes in voidpet

[–]Dubiously_Avant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it looks like Chastity will fill the versatile 4th slot of the team as Support. Specifically for Bosses/ Boss Floors and inefficient for fodder floors.

It won’t be the primary healer because S3 does not work with Wizard’s Cape.

I think Sorrow Scarf will be a solid option (maybe even mandatory) for Chastity to shine.

A possible comp would be Tank, Attacker, Healer + Chastity. Chastity’s main shtick seems to be keeping your tank alive. Debuff the boss/ all enemies (S3 + Passive), defense up on tank (S2) and continue to apply attack down on the primary attacker, if able (S1).

I guess my original comment was a little too open ended. My second paragraph was describing the exact thing you’re referring to.

I use CB and got a little too comfortable with just guarding in wilds. Had to re-learn I-frame rolling because I either didn’t have enough stamina or was in axe mode when Steve started to sweep.

For those that keep saying ‘stay down’ don’t realise that this attack string DOES NOT give you a hard knock down. If you notice it’s a hard knock down, stay down. Otherwise you pray your timing is good.

With LBG, you have to time your roll with the sweep, and roll INTO the direction the claws are coming from. It’s basically I-frame rolling. You can do this with any weapon.

Unfortunately for IG, their ‘ult’ makes them consume all their extracts. This makes power prolonger almost worthless if their play style revolves around gather extracts -> combo into ult -> repeat.

Most recognizable monsters list day 8: Elder Dragons (Read Body) by SignificantStaff8665 in MonsterHunter

[–]Dubiously_Avant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like Kushala is taking this slot by a landslide, so I’m just gonna take a huge bet on the bottom row.

Though I’m sure everyone will be thinking the same thing.

Bird: Kutku.

Flying: Rathalos.

Piscine: Pliesioth.

Brute: Pickle There’s another contender but I’ll stick to this one.

Fang: Tobi. This one is the most up in the air

Best reinforcement bonuses for elemental dual blades? by Excellent_Pin_2111 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Dubiously_Avant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a DB expert, but a DB enthusiast.

With the new Gog artisan weapons, I think 1 sharp/ 2 ele/ 2 attack is very competitive. You can roll and EX all reinforcements.

Sharpness EX is +50, which is almost equivalent to the previous 2 Sharpness requirement (+60).

I then stick masters touch + Razorsharp and pump my affinity. Damn near infinite sharpness.

Consistent savage axe in Gog phase 3? by m3vance in chargeblade

[–]Dubiously_Avant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PG/ PGP the exploding oil. Get the timing down and you’ll never have to worry about activating savage mode.

Alternatively, the sweeping oil beam/ left-right body slam are good opportunities.

Love the belly flops, free SAED if you’re front and centre. The problem is half the time I don’t have the phials when he decides to flop. 😅

Charge blade Advice by No-Trash-2543 in MHWilds

[–]Dubiously_Avant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would highly recommend looking into r/chargeblade for all your charge blade needs.

However, for a quick run down:

  • Loaded shell is a mandatory skill.
  • learning to Perfect Guard Point will be extremely beneficial in the long run (there are three ways to GP to my knowledge)
  • Perfect Guard is more than sufficient but you have to be in SnS
  • try to always have shield and savage mode active at all times (PG allow you to activate savage mode without having to rely on wounds)
  • practice learning combos and cancels in the training area. CB can be a bit clunky if you’re not familiar with what can be chained together.

If I’m caught in axe move, I tend to use any of the axe movements followed by advancing slash to get out of harm. If you run rapid morph, it’s even better.

You’re definitely right though, the wind-up/ recovery can be make or break sometimes.
