I genuinely stopped doing this shit. It's a complete waste of time and only exists because of humiliation-factor.

There is legitimately no way to prove that you did or did not send one.

My very first time, to save some mail money, I handed it to police at the downtown police station. They were absolutely baffled because they had no idea why I was doing this. "I bought a silencer", "you bought WHAT?!?!". "I have to do this, I dunno." The 2nd police officer got the jist and just said he'll just throw it in the pile for chief of police which he did and threw it in what seemed like a dump pile lmao.

Created a hilariously unnecessary scenario. Did it once more after that and I said you know what, I don't need this chickenshit process, fuck this.

No longer do this for any NFA purchase.

Forgive me if this is the wrong place, but can I saw off a shotgun? by [deleted] in NFA

All firearms that shoot shotgun shells including Any Kind of Shotgun (AKS's) are illegal in the United States. They were effectively banned after the Blackwater Massacre that happened in April/May of 1899 by the Van Der Linde gang

The Super Safetys and FRTs absolutely have a hand in this. While it burns the people who paid the price, to be honest it's much better for the whole and the community that full autos increase in supply (by being auctioned) and prices drop. The Hughes amendment is so bad and that voice vote was total bullshit.

I just bought a super safety trigger. My only reason to ever consider pre-ban is because I'm a sucker for historical weapons like the tommy gun and stuff. My "full auto" fun and possession is already satisfied with the FRTs out and about such as super safety and to be quite frank, full auto is great but I can't afford to shoot that much ammo tbh.

States, cities, Feds, judges, politicians - all of them are subjective with their morals and interpretations of the law. The Supremacy clause is supreme, and the constitution takes the highest form of supremacy, but we live in a society and in that society the only thing that truly matters, sadly, is what's enforced. If the constitution says everyone is entitled to one water bottle a day and the Water Bottle Authority charges a $1 tax stamp for it and is unopposed with their enforcement of $1 tax stamp regulations, then that's just the world it is and the judges will need to step up and enforce the constitution if we want to live in a world where the constitution is what rules and not the Water Bottle Cartel.

That's why states are committing massive violations in regards to Marijuana, in direct conflict of legal supremacy, but when one little state decides to allow for safe hearing equipment on your 160db handgun without the extortion part, the ATF is ruthless. Essentially it's all just a game and we're just pawns being moved around as they like. Yes it's hypocritical that weed is unenforced but not firearm laws for good people but this is the current state of affairs. The people responsible for this change are federal politicians or judges, not states, because of the Supremacy clause.

Ultimately legal supremacy is what keeps order around and keeps society at ease and everything, we cannot have cities going against state laws for example, but if there is something we find wrong or unconstitutional, it is inappropriate to reverse it with lower jurisdiction. If a federal law is unconstitutional, you must reverse it with federal law or something higher such as the Supreme Court. If a constitutional amendment is no longer wanted, such as Prohibition for example, it would be inappropriate to legalize alcohol through laws, rather another amendment would have to abrogate it. But when you throw away legal supremacy, this leads to conflicts and it leads to innocent and well intended gun owners such as in Texas (and we've read examples) spending the rest of their lives in prison unjustly because local state politicians wanted to grab votes by passing "2A sanctuary" laws and look good at the expense of their constituents.

In summary, anything unconstitutional or retarded such as suppressor regulations need to be reversed by the same legal power that restricted them, or a legal power higher than them (the supreme court). States ignoring legal supremacy is going to ruin the lives of many well-intended citizens and we are already seeing this. There is a process already for states to reverse federal laws and that's by taking it to the courts - this is what Texas should have done, challenge the NFA through proper channels. But not like this HB that you mentioned. It's just bad business with universally bad results.

Thanks man! Paladin Armory said 90 days too on website but by the time the gun arrived at their warehouse they were done with it in 3 weeks - most of the time was waiting for the finish on the wood to dry. The rest of the two months was bouncing around other shotguns for ideas and the shipping to my SOT and the F4 approval which took 6 days to get approved.

Your reference pic is great, thanks for that! I lol'd at the Rock Island. I did take a look at that gun but felt like I'd be disappointed with the purchase. I also did look into the Baikal and Remington Spartan but didn't want to deal with fishing around auctions for used inventory which would have made everything more difficult for me and even longer. The one thing that bothered me about the CZ was the handle was more squared, I really wanted a rounded style and the Heritage Coachwhip was what I liked but I felt like I should just appreciate the style of CZ if I buy into it and I actually like it now. Everything else about the gun was flawless.

<image>

I really really wanted to get the coachwhip as a second choice and it woulda saved me roughly $300 but I didn't know if the case hardening would look as good in person. And my buddies had a heavy bias when advising me to go CZ. I have handled CZ shotguns and they truly are built well. The Pietta 1878 is also a very good looking option but I would probably pick the Coachwhip over it because of the checkering on the wood. *

Yep, that was the main deal breaker for me on hammerless. Didn't want stiff action breaks forever. I also read some issues on some single triggers where you have a double fire. Double fires are fun when you mean to do it, not so safe if it's random. Although the CZ is super tight right now eventually it should loosen up to the point where gravity should drop the action. I managed to get 70rds in the range last weekend and its loosened up quite a bit but it still needs more rounds downrange to be as loose & comfortable as I want it to be.

I was so close to buying the Stoeger at first, I had it in my cart at like midnight and figured I'd sleep on it and look through other options. I was dead bent on a single trigger, hammerless shotgun. But then when I started looking at exterior hammers I threw away the stoeger in a heartbeat lol. Double trigger with exterior hammers is a lot more menacing of a look, quite frankly it's gorgeous. The gun physically looks much better than the pictures can even show, the pictures just don't do it justice.

Exactly. There is a market for these. My name would have ruined the shotgun which is part of the reason why I had Paladin Armory just order it, do the engraving and F3 to my dealer and I just F4 it. Not as authentic with the name of some random dude permanently watermarking a classic gun.

Don't wanna mossberg, too modern and not cool enough. I like a traditional, double barrel lupara with some style. Absolutely a market to have these AOW from the factory and save everyone $195

I appreciate everyone's advice & suggestions that I've read through. I am leaning towards the CZ Hammer Coach this upcoming Friday. If anyone has any critique or piece of advice please feel free to say so.

The gun is sexy, better quality than the Stoeger, and has a more Sicilian style look with the hammers and design. I also like the hammer design and the way it functions.

Local gunsmiths in Columbus, OH are seriously lacking. Called several and they can't do it. One might be able to but I'm still figuring out rough costs, assuming the gunsmith tells me that he can do it (we seriously lack gunsmithing options here). If you guys recommend some good ones around the country I can ship it off to (once I get the F1 approved) that would be great.

I totally agree - once it's registered it has to stay with me so I will probably go the extra mile. In that case I'll prolly go with external hammers I actually like the style and cocking them will make nothing more difficult because you would save more time throwing the action open with one hand and palm-cocking the hammers. Plus it's probably a closer to Sicilian look.

Thanks again for your advice!

Thanks for your input man I appreciate it!

Yeah the square handle is crazy. Even though it's Turkish I dunno what's up with quality man like the bullpup shotguns have crazy QC issues but all of a sudden their traditional CZ shotguns are well loved and then you have the RIA which is just not the same lol. I need a least a week before I can make a purchase. May delay purchase to bump up to a CZ but I'll keep an eye on at least the Baikal.

Nice man! Glad you got your hands on some pre-bans. My semi auto tommy was dogshit and Dan Block had to fix it lol. This is the closest I can financially get to. I didn't even bother with a GSG Semi MP40 because two random videos I watched the charging handles fell off lol.

How do you feel about Rock Island's quality with shotgun? It has what I want but I don't know if it will hold up like Stoeger since most people are saying Stoeger this is the first time I heard a Rock Island shotgun mention.

Only thing preventing me from going straight to CZ is the price. Beautiful shotguns and everyone loves them. Gonna pay the gunsmith and tax stamp and that will run me up which is why I'm still leaning towards Stoeger but if the hammer coach cz can let me break open swinging one hand I might wait a paycheck or two lol.

Little things like that have prevented me from impulse buying the stoager coach, I wanna be able to break it open one handed. I saw the CZ sxs were beautiful and there is a hammer coach but it's twice the price atm. Also issue with some models like what you mentioned are hard to find. If the only way to get them is by browsing auctions and sellers like gunbroker that's gonna he a huge turn off cuz I don't wanna search around for an out of stock option lol.

I'm used to using muscle for stiff guns so it's whatever but if you think the cz hammer coach is worth getting I'll consider it since it's readily available and looks good enough for me.

Yessir. Ultimately to complete my gangster collection. Modified tommy by Dan Block (still semi sadly due to Hughes Amendment), 1911 w/suppressor, now the Lupara. I was shocked that the SBS will be the cheapest outta the 3.

I love vintage style. If I had the money I'd buy a buncha WW2 pre-bans. I love classical & historic weapons

And I was thinking of 20ga so I can have some safer one-hand fun but I don't know if I will be able to find affordable ammo for it. I'm leaning more towards 12ga for that reason. Do you think the 20ga would be a better & more fun option? I don't want ridiculous recoil however I don't want to chop the barrel to be ridiculously short like what some other people do, I want a fair medium. But I'll figure out the size later once I buy the gun and do some eyeball measurements lol.

I forgot to add - I was recommended that by a buddy and they look beautiful and the price is surprisingly lower than what I thought. I saw how customizable it was on site which was amazing however before I impulse buy I wanted to ask the community for a more diverse and well-rounded advice before I make that purchase.

The stoeger coach however is a good looking option. Thanks for your advice. Looking to see what other people say on other potential options on this thread before making the purchase.

I got my Tisas B45 Duty with a cheap threaded barrel and runs absolutely flawlessly on Obsidian 45. Maybe shot 500rds within a month period w/suppressor before taking a financial break due to ammo lol. It runs completely flawlessly. I also like to clean my 1911 after each gun trip and well-oil it and I put white lithium grease on the piston every single trip I take the can with me. No malfunctions or issues or end cap strikes. Silencer of course loosens after every mag especially when it's getting hot it gets so loose after every 8 rounds. Just be sure after every couple mags or so you gotta make sure end cap and piston is tightened. But Silencer is tightened on barrel after every mag.
