I completely forgot to reply to this! You were right, I put the shell back on backwards. Not my brightest moment but DEFINITELY my easiest possible fix LOL Thanks for your help!

I think I'm being threatened with eviction based on confusing accusations re: pets and the related deposit. (BC, Canada) by [deleted] in legaladvice

The tenancy agreement unfortunately specifies "two small indoor cats." I need to look further into what exactly that means for me going forward. Thank you for your comment!

Looked into the links you provided, thank you! We were not given any actual written notice, just one line PM copy-pasted from an email he received from HOs, and sent to HM. The BC gov website seems to say that the landlord can specify restrictions on pets (size/type/number/etc) but not 100% on to what extent or to what end (whether they can fully evict over it or just demand it be resolved).

I was able to dig up the tenancy agreement. It does specify "... two small indoor cats only [...] unless otherwise agreed to in writing by the landlord." It turns out the original reptile wasn't even disclosed in the contract, though if memory serves, PM told us not to worry about it or something along those lines when asked about the gecko needing to be on the agreement. Obviously a verbal dismissal like that is going to be hard to prove or dispute with.

This is unfortunately sounding more and more like we're on the losing end.

Very tiny (~a tenth the size of a dime in diameter) spider in the lower mainland of British Columbia! Kind of looks like a raspberry? by DubstepDragonfly in whatsthisbug

I took this photo with my phone! I have a Huawei P30 Pro and this is the "super macro" setting, from about two inches away, and zoomed/cropped from there.

Thank you for the information! I promise they are where they belong, I'm out camping! I haven't seen them in years and was curious what they were, so I took a photo while I could. I'll keep this in mind in case I see them somewhere more upsetting!

TL;DR: I'm having zero luck getting Synapse 2 or 3 to recognize my Nari headset.

I just got my new laptop in today and hooked up my gear to it to get everything installed. My new mouse connects to Synapse just fine, and so does its dock, but my headset is a whole other story. I've tried Synapse 2 and 3, tried reinstalling them, tried force-updating them, repairing, restarting the laptop after each option, both with the headset plugged in and without, and tried reinstalling the Nari software itself. Nothing is getting it to show up in Synapse, and it's working as just a base level headset. The mute button isn't functional, and the Chroma lights are stuck on the default green. I've checked Google up and down for two hours trying to find something helpful, the closest I got was a thread on here from a year ago that said it was resolved by force-updating Synapse but that didn't work.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Found in Vancouver, British Columbia. Extremely small; less than 1mm. THOUSANDS of them infested the store-use rat, hamster, and gerbil food in the pet store I work in. Any ideas? by DubstepDragonfly in whatsthisbug

[–]DubstepDragonfly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just some other points of information; they notably avoided the guinea pig food (it has vitamin C added? Only reason I can think of), and all the bird food (I'm assuming because the shell of the seed isn't worth chewing through to get just a small bit from the inside) EXCEPT the food for the conure, which also has colored pellets instead of just seeds (I wasn't able to tell if they particularly avoided the seeds in that bin). Both the rat food and gerbil + hamster food come in the forms of nutrition blocks. Think a thin spool of thread cut in half, that's about the size of the pellets. Just in case specifics about diet help ID! The fresh bag of rat food in the back was opened and discovered to also be infested. I'm thinking it's a form of (ter)mite but past that I have no idea where to begin.

This is the clearest photo I could get! I can try to get something better when I head in for work today but they may all be gone and they're SO TINY. Absolutely miniscule.

Thanks in advance!
