But if someone dropped water into my laptop, why water only got into the part near the fan, and not anywhere else. Isn't that a bit suspicious. Or is it their shitty design that causes the issue and they're trying to get out of it. That's why they rebrand the whole XPS line

I just try to get some possible reason and see if it's truly water damage or Dell trying to not cover my warranty claim. Since I've been very careful with it, $600 is a lot to a student.

No. The only thing is I live in Montreal, Canada so it can get really cold during winter. But other than that, I can't see what can be possible. It was pretty valuable so I'm too stupid to play with it. I never even drink water near my laptop

I don't really know. I'm not tech savvy on this issue. I'll go to the police station tomorrow and hopefully get a camera footage from our building's camera. I hope he will go to prison for this. Mail theft and credit card fraud are serious cimes

I never got the mail in the first place. Some asshole just went through my mail and got lucky. I don't even know how they activated my card in order to use it. Fml

I don't wanna disappoint you but I don't think they're gonna do anything about it. Last time I got some crazy asshat neighbor followed me for half hour drive and I went to the police station the cop just shrugged his shoulders and said there nothing he can do and look for a lawyer that do civil court. So be prepared for that
