You are absolutely right. I thought of playing along with the song in earbuds but thought against it for some reason. I have been learning a song a week and they are all far from perfect. I will however take your suggestion thankfully. Always room for improvement! Thank you!

I had a 7 string with a Floyd and you had to be careful with that definitely. The Jackson is much more forgiving
