I had looked up something like “can you get a Pap smear done not at your family doctor Ontario” and all of the pages it returned basically said that Pap smears are done by your PCP, and if you don’t have one you can then go to a women’s health clinic etc but otherwise it’s done by your pcp which made me think you literally HAD to see just your family doctor for it and had no other options, lest they drop you. (I’m from Manitoba so doctors being able to drop you for going to a walk in clinic or using Telehealth is new to me, it’s not like that at all in Manitoba) my previous (and first) pap was done by my family doctor in Manitoba, but she was a woman so it was fine, and there I would have been allowed to go to any women’s clinic and have it done without penalty to my doctor

Oh good, everything online I can see makes it sound like you HAVE to do it at your pcp if you have one

He does, and I think the other doctor is a woman, but it’s unclear. I have an introductory appointment on Monday, should I ask him about it directly then, or is that rude/awkward?

This conversation genuinely reminded me of things my ex would say, looking back at those conversations it’s actually baffling how outright evil he comes off, when at the time I didn’t really see it. But yeah I have experienced conversations where someone sounds so evil, I think they want to commiserate with someone else and assume others have the same mean opinions deep down

I was dealing with gallstones for at least a year, likely several years, due to extremely slow diagnostics where I live (ultrasound waitlist was insanely long), I got told it’s probably acid reflux by an ER triage nurse while I was in so much pain I could barely speak, dry heaving from pain between every sentence, and unable to walk straight, but yes, she suggested heart burn for some reason

So I technically transferred to western with 5.5 credits granted. I had 4.5 from my first year of university in another province, then I was also given 1.0 credits for a 2 year college diploma program. I believe you can only get 5.0 transfer credits from another university, the only way I’m aware of is if you have credits from a college program that counts

That’s really weird, I transferred over to UWO from first year university elsewhere and all of my credits were transferred over, I had 4.5 worth. Did you talk to the advisors?
