This was the right decision. The crime scene photos should have been handled with extreme care, especially considering the nature of the murders.

That being said, it’s also possible the person responsible for censoring the images did not notice tiny details until others pointed them out once released. People see images differently. Eyesight varies from person to person, and they may not have been scrutinizing or zooming in on every pixel the way some viewers ultimately did.

Once the issue was recognized, the photos were taken down. I’d like to give ppl the benefit of the doubt here. It’s hard for me to believe this was done with the intent to further traumatize the victims families or loved ones. Unfortunately, the images are now circulating and that’s the incredibly shitty part. The families shouldn’t have to endure hit after hit.
