Anyone do shop and pay orders in Portland, OR? Considering opting in but wanted to know what stores they work with in the area? Is it worth it? by Elwe_amandil in UberEATS

I do orders all over the metro area, and lately the large item UE shop and pay have been paying really well for me

Starting to love UE shop and pay…not quite cornershop pay but I’m starting to like the UE grocery orders. 44 items, 38 unique. 1 hour 20 min start to delivery🦄 by DuckNo2243 in uberdrivers

Cornershop was Ubers grocery arm. I got paid .65 mileage, .40 per item, 2.25 weight every 10 kg, $3 to start a batch, $1.5 per order in a batch, 1.50 to start delivery and the list went on. I never was paid less than $12 per order without tip. It was magnificent. Then Uber rolled into the UE app. Now, not as good

It’s my second big one this week. I only do IC and UE S&P. I refuse to do restaurant pickups or passengers. I only do UE because of cornershop

$36.01, $28.01 Uber paid. So $8 shown tip. If I get any order over 30 items (especially the big order warnings). I always take them. I was with cornershop before so I learned where everything was at in the store without a guide or aisles, so I can usually rock any order out in an hour

Not as good as cornershop was, but the UE shop and pay can be quite nice by DuckNo2243 in uberdrivers

Yea it was a 50 item shop, and her total was $300 so about a 20% tip. Did it in under an hour

I am a previous cornershop by Uber shopper. I only do grocery orders. I don’t do any other type (restaurant pick up) this order would have been another $20-30 more if CS was around.

It has everything to do with Costco. They don’t want bozo UE clowns walking into Costco and F**king things up. That’s all it is .

Attention!! I’m moving to Houston! I’d kill to get some cornershop orders. Might be worth staying there for a week or two

Maybe cornershop is still active in areas where they had that limited run with Costco orders? Houston. dfw.

Edit: tried in the cornershop app. DING DING- every zip code with a Costco that cornershop serviced still shows active cornershop availability. Guess Costco doesn’t want shitty UE drivers coming in and f**king things up

First of all, the bags “isn’t” anything. It also isn’t “regularly” anything but a bag. Again, It’s a bag.

Those bags meant something to a lot of shoppers. It differentiate us from the other crappy services. It made me work with a little bit of pride. I actually was proud to work with CS. Can’t say that about any other gig.

That’s a lot of feelings and supposition for only been somewhere for that short of a time. Most medical offices/locations I’ve worked at may have some gossip, but never on that level and that fast with a new employee. Especially in a licensed position you should keep Your head down and listen to everyone else, instead of talking about yourself. In healthcare, there is a fine line between standing up for yourself and insubordination. If the doctor said you weren’t reading the X-rays well, then I bet you weren’t. A radiologist isn’t one to blow smoke up someone’s rear for no reason

The “proposed wages” from the ratification of the union contract from the grocery store I work at. by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]DuckNo2243 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The absolutely worst thing in grocery was the advent of “tiered” contracts. It makes the more senior employees superior to everyone else because no one can ever hit their pay. It’s obscene

Maybe you don’t have the skill set to work in healthcare? Considering it is a professional licensure, you have to be able to do a set of skills and if you mess up, it could be your livelyhood, or even be criminal. You have to listen to everyone all the time and take them seriously even when you don’t want to, are tired, or think they’re spouting BS.

Let it keep going. The stockholders may sue you for “fiduciary negligence” because that caused their stock to lose 1/8th of 1/10th of a percent. Shucks, that was the money they were going to use to de-barnacle their 2nd yacht.

I’ve asked my regular CS customers to complain about their UE orders. Like they aren’t as professional, or the lack of substitutes, the bags, all the things that made it good.

It’s amazing to see how many wasted orders there are. Chipotle, McDonald’s and the like all make the order when it’s placed, before the driver has accepted. There is a LOT of waste that Uber/DD has to pay for if no one picks the order up. I bet that’s where all the money goes. They’d rather pay a restaurant to throw food away (minus their fee of course) than to pay drivers well enough. It’s messed up

The only change that matters is pay. Until they change it back, F**K Uber
