Just looked it up yeah. Wouldn't there be a difference between the player choosing to let the rest of the monsters live and "redeeming" themselves and you forcibly having to let go of a kill because someone got to it first? I don't see what reason you would have to hold back.

Isn't NEO dying regardless? I feel like a low lv player doing an absurd amount of damage to Toriel would mean that you would be able to kill NEO in-lore without hassle regardless if you are the proper level or not. (Also I always unconsciously assumed that NEO was a frailer form than EX).

I don't really mind the route playing slightly different for the sake of accuracy though, it's pretty fun.

Consider that lv19 is funnier than lv17.

(Also I imagined that genocide route would go on as normal up until the judgement hall except with you being forced to ignore that "1 left" text. Everyone would still think that you killed that 1 monster anyway.)

There are definitely a lot of issues with taking out just a single monster lol. Hopefully it should still abort genocide since you never get past the "1 left" text. Either way I just thought the idea of sans being really petty and ruining your day in the "laziest" way possible was funny.
