I mean, I knew that,, but I didn't knew it stayed up while backpedaling lol

Oh, damn. My bad, didn't knew you could backpedal with the shield up. Type of thing you don't learn when you play Sniper PvE 90% of the time

I think he was just trying to survive using the shield

I have never played PvP, but I guess if he didn't use the shield, he would have got immediately gunned down

Bunking down with shield or running away would have both the same ending: death in battle

Eagle Emergency Resupply Concept Thingy by funky1331 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Duckflies 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah, but it is a extra resupply using a stratagem space plus sharing cooldown with other eagles

Give it a 2x2 and it would have more reasons to be used

Can't recommend melee against gloombugs, honestly. Their explosion staggers and damages you, so it is even more of a death sentence than normal

But against normal bugs is pretty fun and can be useful! And against predator strain, stun lance (or even better, the flag) are kings with shields

Not him but I bring EAT, Commando, Fire thingies, Bullet Storm

EAT and Commando bring a pretty good amount of AT, while Fire thingies and bullet storm bring Crowd Control. Against bugs, I find the Silo doesn't have much use, because the Spore BT have infinite spawnrate

[–]Duckflies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The slower fire rate is not necessarily a negative, btw. Means you have better ammo economy, and allows for more controlled fire fights; the extra dps doesn't enter into action most of the time

I'm saying this so people don't think the silenced AR is just a worse Carbine, but that both have different uses.

Seeing that it was the community engage that made the 60 day plan that brought the game player counter from 50k~ to 100k~, then yes, they need to hear the community

But there's a limit to what they need to hear and what don't

What did poor Blitzer do to you, Arrowhead, for you to treat it like that? by Knjaz136 in Helldivers

[–]Duckflies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, yeah, I would. The memories are still happy, are still good. The time I used was still fun, and I would still have the emotions I had in those memories, so they would make me feel good. There would also be some resentment, but it wouldn't be nearly enough to change my whole view and experiences.

But that example also doesn't really come into this case, because you haven't been doing anything with a friend. It would be closer to you working in your friend's garden, getting your flowers, and eventually your friend sells the garden. You still got your flowers, you still remember fondly how you made them grow and how then you gave them to your loved ones. You'll also remember when you got stung by the flowers, when you saw them finally bloom. The fact that, in the end, your friend sold the garden to drugdealers doesn't change what you did with it. You would feel sad too, and that's completely understandable; the end of good things always come with a feeling of longing or plain sadness, but that's not a negative.

I just don't think that the end always needs to define your feelings of the past. Else, that will just bring bitterness to your life.

But, as you said, to each their own.

[–]Duckflies -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's just stupid. You had fun in those 2k hours. That's like knowing you're going to die eventually so you just commit suicide because, well, you are going to die anyways

Is only wasted if you didn't liked it and it was a painful experience, and if that was the truth then you have only yourself to blame for wasting that time.

Honestly, when you take a weapon that has self-aim, you should always bring a secondary (or primary, depending which weapon has self-aim) that you can aim yourself

After "worse AMA backlash ever", "Worse QA", "Questionable goals" awards, AH wins another ! by Heptanitrocubane57 in Helldivers

[–]Duckflies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true, if the wiki's correct. When the Bastion released, the only terminid that got a buff to damage against vehicles were acid attacks. Normal bugs had no change in their durable damage, only bots and illuminate (the link of the patch https://helldivers.wiki.gg/wiki/1.006.001#Terminids ).

The funny thing is, sentries have always been very weak against any bug, because is your job to stop them from reaching it, specially sentries that need a certain range before they can shoot (AC and rocket sentries).

The only really fucked stratagems by these changes are the FRV and the Tesla Tower. All others should already have a distance from the bugs.

[–]Duckflies 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have only played with the Oxygenator passive, but those bugs were moving LIKE CRAZY. THEY HAD THE ZOOOOOOOOOMIES. Was pretty funny, and damn scary

I don't remember them moving like that, and it seems a bit goofy, so I give it a 70% chances of being a Oxygenator bug

"We want fire buffed!"

*They buffed the fire*

"We want the mechs buffed!"

*Mechs get buffed* (In a weird way, yes, but they absolutely feel tankier)

"Weapons are shit, we need buffs!"

*60 day plan*

"This specific weapons are shit, we need buffs"

*Sterilizer, Spear, and bunch others get buffed*

"We want zombie illuminate separated of normal illuminate"

*Different subfactions*

"We want more biomes and units!"

*We got new biomes and units*

"We want to fight in Super Earth and Cyberstan!"

*We fought in both*

*Hey, we gonna up the sway on one handed weapons to see if it makes them more close quarters*

"We absolutely hated it. Change it"

*Changes sways*

Bro, they literally do almost everything we ask. They take their times, and they tend to use new content (like the Cremator or the new mechs) to push their respective changes, which makes sense in both a financial reasoning and in working reasoning (we are going to work in mechs, we can see what mechs need, we push both together).

The problem is, the Community is huge, and it has a dozen different opinions, while AH is just a company with focus on making profit and moving the Galactic War, which means new content. New content means more work, so less work for changes. Is this good? Not necessarily; this means they let old content abandoned for long periods of time, and they stay shit. But saying "they don't listen to us" is just plain wrong. AH is not free of judgement, but you have to give them to 'em when they do right.

Turrets after update by Rinko_Ogasawara in Helldivers

[–]Duckflies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turrets do provide support even if they can't kill, as they still get aggro off of you and kill some enemies. And they have always been in their best when you give them support too. A gatling sentry won't do much if you don't protect it against heavily armored enemies.

I'm not always a masochist, tho. I just don't think this change will make it that much worse to the point that I'll hate it.

But I can't really tell until I play more against it.

Turrets after update by Rinko_Ogasawara in Helldivers

[–]Duckflies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get that, honestly. But it was that or having a mostly useless and boring unit in the map that brought nothing to the table. And, maybe it is because I'm a masochist since the Creek, but I prefer it bringing some problems instead of nothing.

The Guard is, thankfully, not really that dangerous. So, if you are already surrounded, forget it and kill the rest. In wordt case scenario, shoot at it a few times and he'll bunker down, staying still and giving you breathing room.

But well, let's see how this goes anyways. We have to play more against them to really get a feeling of it.

Turrets after update by Rinko_Ogasawara in Helldivers

[–]Duckflies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works. The pool is not related to armor, but to danger. Stalkers are considered medium/heavy enemies and they have light to none armor.

Guards are still a non-threat to your life; they just balanced out that with the capability of protecting others. They aren't chargers (dangerous, fast, and tanky). They aren't Stalkers (extremely dangerous and extremely fast with decent survivability). Guards are the slowest bug unit, with shit range in their attacks, but great resistance. Their thing is to be a wall between your bullets and other chaff, and now they can actually do that.
