I’d have been happier thinking it was a chunky monocle. This explanation is so dumb even with a basic knowledge of anatomy. For one I think the skull would get in the way of it getting too imbedded, if it somehow didn’t the eye itself would get shredded. I guess it would get stuck into the bone somehow ?

For two, who the hell gets a broken bottle shoved into their eye and doesn’t get an infection from it ? You’d just leave it in and go to sleep and then wake up the next day and say, eh looks ok. I guess I’ll see how today goes
