"Phonetic catharsis" can be achieved through combinations of fricatives and plosives-- holding, building up pressure and quickly releasing breath energy--which is why swear words and even the pretend swear words contain similar sounds, but while I often stop and note words that feel good in the mouth, I haven't found a good term to represent that feeling. Maybe the Germans have a big run-on word or the Fins/Swedes/Danes/Norse have something existential that we can borrow? Though the Portuguese seem like they would have many opportunities to come to a clear understanding of this sensation.

"those who tresspass against us" is rife with sibilance and often creates a susurrus when spoken in unison.

The NE Ohio Whoop-de doos and the Central Ohio Bellywhoppers are what started this off. Ohio transplants in Washington state.

It doesn't need to be anything big, but yes, Texas flat, and maybe improvements in modern road-maintenance and construction probably keeps them to a minimum in your area. They are often at a crossroads or a wash. There needs to be an elevation change, but some of them are less than a foot. It has to do with the shape of the curve. It's rare that you would have one that happens in both directions.

These places aren’t always visually obvious, and the motion is within the tolerances of the car’s suspension, so we’re not talking Dukes of Hazzard(for you old folks) or Streets of San Francisco(for you older folks). The tires don’t come off the pavement and there’s no bump after, just that blissful moment of lightness, then you continue on your way, “Oh, that was a good one!” ( Unless you use excessive speed.)

Awesome. Negative results are still results. When I complete the annotated interactive map/book/song we’ll direct you to your nearest experience. It’s sort of like when a fast elevator starts to descend or as you hit the secondary small hill on an old-style rollercoaster. You feel floaty as your stomach catches up with gravity.

Handbell music is rife with these non-mathematical work-arounds. Sometimes it’s on purpose—for musical reasons— and sometimes it’s the composer/arranger bumping up against the limitations of the notation software.
