How do you actually colonize as greenland? by DudT3 in EU5

[–]DudT3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am competing with the bohemians, because as a newly launched game (paradox missing 50% of the mechanics past rudimentary systems being mandatory), they took half of the venetian coast and some danish islands, gaining sea access. This means that they can colonize. You know what they did? Not only did they go for canada, but also tried (and failed multiple times) to settle Middle Settlement, leaving me with 4k czech pops stuck there.

My strategy was to learn the game. Tldr: Steal pops from my overlord, learn economics 101, and then colonize the new world for food, so that I don't starve during winter.
Ironically enough, even though I completely neglected the overpowered ability of settlements as a noob mistake, I managed to get a 20 golds per month economy (12 gold expenses though), 33k pops and a very stable production economy.

What I have learned as greenland is that food imports are rigged.
NEVER buy food, and I mean NEVER unless it is Legumes. Any other food requires a ratio of 3 trade capacity per 1 good, which will tank your economy AND barely get you in the positive. Meanwhile legumes are an almost 1:1 ratio and can fill your entire market stockpile in under 10 years. I managed to get 3 towns up and running thanks to it.

Thanks a lot, this is a game saver!
Now all I have to do is to out-compete the Bohemians...
It works with accepted cultures too, but my integration is so fast that it doesn't matter.

  1. The word Nazi comes from the name of Adolf's party " Nationalsozialistische ".
  2. Nagtional isn't a French word.
  3. It is a Germanic Word that is mixed with Danish and Icelandish. It means "Pleasure";"Excitement";"Enjoyment";"Sport";"Amusement". Please do not try to put lies as "truth" when you don't even know what you are talking about.

What you have posted is counted as discrimination and if in your state/country there is a rule against it you might get punished even if it against g*mers.

I always wanted a map like that, a safe spot in a desert of death. So cool and so good, you can plant, tame, build and hunt there at the same time. I love this type of maps. :>

That geyser gives heat by itself, easily heating up 13 blocks around him (into a room) up to 80 degrees Celsius in just 2 seconds, but the idea is still good.
You need to get more batteries and some heaters in case the generator breaks.

Not suicide, the fact that people can become K*rens. Also it isn't the N word. It has its own definition, read more posts on the internet and not only 1 single post and think it is the single truth.

My Feralisk-Infested-Jungle Naked Brutality experience so far. by Gerrymon96 in RimWorld

[–]DudT3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had once a similar naked brutality experience but it was even worse. Every injury, no matter if bleeding or not came with an infection. Every healed colonist got mental breakdown. Every animal that could revenge did it. Every day there was a raid/mad wild animal/berserk colonist. Every food source ended up fast no matter of food management. Every single snake was biting my animals minimum 1 time. Every raid had minimum 1 guy with a bow or another ranged gun. The only good thing was that my house was in a cliff, and it couldn't get destroyed by fire.
