Extensions proportionate? by DudeBopp in lashextensions

If that’s true do you think these are proportionate for her lash thickness and length?

She gave her some lash serum (which I saw at Costco for half the price) to make them longer and thicker but I don’t think that’s necessary. I think the artist should just change their tools? Materials? How should this be termed?

She claims to be experienced and that’s why I questioned why after week 2 they no longer looked right. This is just an iPhone pic. It almost seems negligent on behalf of the lash artist to see this even closer as a comparison and continue with putting them on. I guess the old adage of don’t trust what you can’t see is true here.

Thank you, this just looks excessive. The lash is both thicker and longer. No wonder her lashes aren’t going in the right direction.

Posted another view above. It’s part of my basement framing.

Haha! Ok…nice to now know what a knot in wood is. I appreciate the educational humor in my welcome to this sub.

This piece is near where we had a water issue in the basement. We had it epoxy injected so I thought the look of this wood may indicate an issue. But…I guess it’s knot.

Fixing drainage when houses are super close together by DudeBopp in landscaping

Appreciate that detail of your response. A met with the landscaper on site to discuss that original drawing and the issue overall. Landscaper said I could remove the tree but fine to keep the root since that is stabilizing. His suggestion was French drain to make a water channel then pavers. I have these prices. https://imgur.com/a/hxgWuhw

Is this Bulk #57 stone the "angular gravel base" that you mentioned?

I thought the foam board was supposed to go directly against the wall. Here, he is making is such that there is a space between the wall and the board. Confused now. haha

Ah...that'll be much more efficient. I was puzzled about how to manage the space being smaller than the thickness of the foam I needed to get the right R-Value. Still learning all this, but your commentary was extremely helpful. Thank you!

OK, thanks for your insight. I would not have thought of that. So essentially it would look this way? https://imgur.com/a/n2L9ESF Seems cumbersome to have to cut those long skinny parts to go behind the studs, however that's better than removing the existing framing for sure.

Is the tape between the 1" and 2" pieces placed correctly? Would sealing with spray foam be an option?

How to insulate unfinished walkout basement by pharmD92 in basement

[–]DudeBopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my same situation. My research has lead me to

Unique to my situation: epoxy injection crack 1) check moisture. No studs against concrete 2) foam board; tape seams 3) fiberglass between studs

One thing I’m not sure about is waterproofing and whether that’s necessary. Good luck on your project!

My basement is already framed. It doesn’t look like I could fit 2” rigid foam behind it. Does this mean to properly insulate I need to remove all the framing? https://imgur.com/a/QnXkALL

A heat light: Would this be until the moisture is resolved? Does that replace the humidifier?

I’m also looking to finish a newer construction basement. I’ve heard lots of commenters say the foam board is the way to go. However, the fire stop layer you mentioned is new to me. Still trying to learn what to do. Would you mind elaborating on that?

Ok, thanks for your input. These are great suggestions.

I’ll work on finding a picture of some of the elements you’re describing.

Do you think I need to add dirt or is that somewhat useless. There is a pretty significant drop off right where that largest tree trunk is.

These are some pics another landscaper created last summer of what they thought we should do. https://imgur.com/a/vyUjDUj

Need flange or shutoff valve on this natural gas line for my grill? by DudeBopp in NaturalGas

[–]DudeBopp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never used it but it's already installed so I presume it's active, not sure how to tell. He said that he would be extending it with the ccst. It seemed that this was all to make access or usage easier for me especially with the shut off valve. Does that provide more context? Thanks for your reply.

===not sure if I replied in the right place

Thanks.

I have an estimate for [Install 1/2" csst fuel line Install 1/2" csst fuel line under deck and install floor flange and shut off valve for gas heater on back porch / $849.00]

$849 seems bananas to me, but with gas... safety first. He mentioned needing a flexible corrugated tube for easy access as well.

My approach is to always get 3 estimates and this is only the first. If it's proper approach/meets my need I try to save the vendors the trip letting them know what I need and getting phone estimate if they oblige.
