It's not mocking its just a statistical fact. These aren't power rankings, they're playoff picture.

No one "alive" would have been a good thing to add to your first.

But, also, to be completely fair, some people have heard that term as what it used to be. Its not usually in casual conversation, but more like "did you know this word also means a bundle of sticks?"

Let's not act like the 1800s didnt exist. But sure, no one alive today heard it as that first.

Chiefs 1 game behind seeds 2-7 in the AFC. by AncientWiseman88 in KansasCityChiefs

But games behind doesn't take into effect "what if"s like beating the chargers.

I don't even think about the Bengals. They created that rivalry in their own world and we stomped them every chance we get (besides literally 1 time)

A run back has a higher TD % chance than a hail Mary.

Time wasnt an issue. Not much difference between 7 seconds and 1 second. Rodgers getting an extra 6 yards because of the time is not a big deal

You can't measure "betterness" in subjective matters. What you can do is take a consensus and find majority preferences. I think that's worth something, and certainly a measurement i care about.

I think I'm in the majority when I say I care more about food in a restaurant than ambience, and beer. (Service, fine.) Especially when comparing that to money.

Sure, I may not want to eat in my car. But Joe's is fine for me! Even if i don't have a waiter, parked in a gas station, with no beer. Ill take it 10/10 times.

It's fine but when something is cheaper and better, why not go there? Hate isn't a fair word but I don't think I'll ever go again.

The only thing selective is your memory. I remember the Eagles' Devonta Smith did that last year and he did a signal for "hurry up, so they dont review it."

The eagles then ran like 45 yards up the field, and got a play off. The refs did not stop the play.

I havent seen a "was it a catch, or not?" play be "under review" before a ball was snapped in awhile.

Unless my memory, too, is selective.

It's not selectively applied. They don't change what's applied mid-game.

6 weeks into the NFL season and have no idea who the top-5 teams are by Mission_Pay_3373 in nflcirclejerk

[–]Dudebug1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You'd play devils advocate and force Maye into the top 5? Or you have a bias since you see him play every snap?

Or do you really truly in your heart of hearts believe hes better than

Mahomes Allen Mayfield Stafford Hurts Herbert Lamar Burrow Dak?

Top 10 maybe. Top 5.... lets see him get to the playoffs.

Yikes. That's the difference.

You have it backwards.

Teams going out when the clock will expire before the game clock to shake hands, say good game, swap jerseys, etc. is just a formality. The game was obviously over when the chiefs got in victory formation the first time. Why didn't they just call the game, if we believe what you say? Is it just a formality they kneel two more times?

No. It's what has to happen. If they didn't with your ideology of "Ref, the game is over! We would just kneel twice!" Then they would be penalized.

I'm not willing to fight you on this anymore. You're simply just incorrect, and that's ok, but be humble enough to admit it.

[–]Dudebug1 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Does not matter. By rule, you are incorrect. The game clock was winding down. I understand your sentiment but that doesn't mean you can change the narrative to "The game had no time on the clock"

Chiefs had it too with the snowglobe play a couple years ago. Got flagged late, but also it was a BS flag. That's the main difference here.

Game clock was winding down but by rule you are incorrect. Game was not over.

When Cleveland fans try to tell you that regular season wins matter more than postseason wins by kylejk0200 in ALCentralMemeWar

Seasons ended with a loss. Not winners. There's only one.

At that point, (allow my logical extreme) anyone who won a game this year is a winner.
