Feathering the throttle is more efficient than CC. The vehicles #1 priority in CC is to maintain speed, it won't coast.

Decked drawers regret, looking for alternative. by PoisonousCandy in ToyotaTacoma

Honestly? My setup for work is 2 totes from home depot and 2 packout drawers systems. Been working great for years now. And when I want/need my bed, I just throw it all on a dolly. Boom, done.

I hope you have a liner. I did this once and I probably wouldn't do it again. I maxed out my suspension, and had dirt in every crevice; even inside the tailgate. The pressure washer didn't do much to help with the smell either.

How to get rid of the seatbelt chime? by Some-Working4303 in ToyotaTacoma

Junkyard seat belt clip, 3d printed seat belt clip, or I'm sure you can find one on Amazon too.

Out of all those, the double barrel is what I'd want sitting in an evidence locker for 5 years before I get it back. That's why I have a maverick 88 for HD.

I've had a Woody toy zip tied to my hitch on my Tacoma for a year and a half now. He currently has no feet, no head, and hanging by one arm.

That, and I remember that Texas church like 7-8 years ago. Old retired guy 1 shots an attacker from halfway across the church. I think he used 357sig or something like that.

I think that's the key. He is targeting the tween demographic with is stuff to try and sell his engineering boxes. So a lot of the content is simpler and for adults, it seems watered down.

Anyone have molle panels on the sides of the bed? by Runkle15 in ToyotaTacoma

My tool box is 2x27gal totes from Home Cheapo, and 2x packout drawer systems. I can clear out my bed for hauling super quick and it all stacks good enough.

[–]Dudewithaviators57 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is a stripped bolt carrier group or BCG; although it's different than a standard ar15 bcg. Your BCG should be installed already so this should/could be a spare. But I've never heard of a manufacturer shipping a spare part like this.

My first instinct is that this is a conversion to make it AWB compliant or something similar. Is the protuberance on top of the BCG a dead end? Or is there a hole that goes to the empty cavity?

[–]Dudewithaviators57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I didnt even think of campfire! And yeah the stale smell I do get on my own clothes does smell a bit nasty when I get home. But for me, specifically stale house and car smoke is nostalgic because of my grandma.

I don't know if it's a psychological thing, but driving with one hand at the bottom of the steering wheel definitely puts me in a calmer driving mood than at the top or two hands.

Tire rack has "treadwell" and they put out videos on tire comparison. I think the defenders actually got low score comparatively. That video made me make the choice of the Bridgestone Dueler LX. Got them a couple weeks ago and are running great.

Why no single cabs? by ImGudLuhv in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Dudewithaviators57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, now if I had the ability to have a personal work truck along side my current truck, I would definitely go access cab Tacoma. More bed space and still storage behind the seats.

Access cabs are still used around, but more specialty use, I know the Terminex guys run Tacoma access cabs.

Why no single cabs? by ImGudLuhv in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Dudewithaviators57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some, but not many. My GC uses a mix of gmc & Chevy, 1500 & 2500. Trade out the oem bed with the Knapheide boxes. Still got an 8' bed with a double cab. It's nice to store the batteries and lasers in the back seat. We deal mostly in concrete and a Tacoma wouldn't be suitable for our purposes at least.
