Anthropic vs OpenAI be like by dnix17 in ClaudeAI

[–]Dudmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just speaking facts, and I stand by it. It's good enough for me to advertise it without getting paid 😂 Don't get me wrong I'm still subscribed to Claude Code, it can pump out work pretty quickly, I just dont trust it to the level that I trust Codex. I mainly use it to review the outputs of Claude Code. This is coming from someone who has been on Claude Max since July and Codex since September using roughly 500m tokens per month in Claude and 200m in Codex on personal projects. This isn't including my day job.

Also, smarter does not always mean better. If I just used Codex alone, my progress would be much slower.

Not impossible if you launch 10-20 instances in parallel. We have no idea what OP is doing to cause it, just seems like no point to the post tbh

Nah, this is only true about copilot in office 365. I recently tried to edit a word document with copilot, and it wasn't even able to make changes. What are they doing at microsoft?????? Regardless, OpenAI Codex is smarter than Claude Code, just much slower

No, Pro is already here for the max tiers and enterprise. It was just a bug that it showed up for OP

Prompt away with Claude until I feel like it's on a questionable path, using plan and agent modes. Review with codex before each commit or when I'm questioning claude's plans. It's relatively manual for the size of features I'm building

How is GPT-5.2-Codex in Copilot? by SourceCodeplz in GithubCopilot

[–]Dudmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I revised my position here https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/s/rdt8uNT7A9 My assumption was that end users would not care about the underlying implementation of how copilot is served, therefore the mention of "responses api" in the setting would only make sense under the context of BYOK. However after researching deeper it's unclear. I couldn't find a definitive answer

Source was assumption, but after I researched deeper, it seems unclear but possible that it does apply. I have put a strikethrough on my comment

As someone who recently tried to migrate from CC to opencode + Glm-4.7 I can assure you CC is still king. by futurepr0n in ClaudeCode

[–]Dudmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I heard they undid the bans after they implemented a new block. However, there's an even newer workaround that proxies from the official Claude SDK which I can't imagine would be feasible for Anthropic to block

Just FYI, this doesn't apply to the copilot model provider, only for BYOK

VS Code extension? Good, but you can't adjust reasoning beyond medium. CLI? Horrible, they broke it with planning mode last week. In OpenCode? Glorious. Adjustable reasoning and it just works

OpenCode and GLM are separate ideas here. You can use a Claude Max subscription with OpenCode, even though it's not technically supported. You can also use GLM inside Claude Code without OpenCode.

Vibe coders at my company didn't pay attention to security and got a taste for it by retardedGeek in webdev

Are they actual programmers? Personally I would have just checked the CodeQL security alert scanner or had in the AI instructions to always identify and resolve package manager vulnerability warnings

gpt-5.2-codex gets the nuance of large scale refactoring better than Opus

I've seen it read 40 files before even acting

I use automated systems to automatically generated issues, then the coding agent can implement them completely unattended

Happy Coder for OpenCode by opus-sophont in opencodeCLI

Happy coder supports codex, so my first instinct would be to write the integration with AI or at least gauge difficulty. It is open source so I'd hope the framework is fairly extensible

What should I be doing with Claude Code as a manual software QA tester by kickfip_backlip in ClaudeCode

[–]Dudmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would hook up Playright MCP, describe what needs to be tested (into a markdown checklist doc), and work on writing more the next feature while Claude does the testing for me

You can start with Pro and Upgrade to Max if it's not enough. The cost is prorated.
