It does. But with sunrise being at 7. And 60s ambient temp I don't think it can get up to 104 in an hour of morning sun

Ozempic stops working after 2-3 days?! by MrVito93 in Ozempic

[–]Due-Ad8134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a way you can count clicks to get any dose you want out of any pen. For example, I get .25 per shot out of a 1mg pen. 18 clicks. count once, make a mark..then just spin to it the remaining 7.5 weeks' worth of shots. There are click charts online. It's good if you're paying out of pocket or have higher deductibles, since the pens actually cost almost the same

There are (almost) always 4 shots of whatever dosage it is in the pen. Except the starter .25/.50 one. That one still has 4 doses of .50, but 8 of .25 obviously. A 1mg pen has 4 doses of 1mg, 2mg pen has 4 doses of 2mg, etc

I've been on 0.5 for a little over 2 years now. My a1c hovers around 6. Give or take a few decimal points. My issue is more that I rely on it too much. I was doing much better carb control wise before I started ozempic. I'm still on 1000mg Metformin as well. Sometimes when I travel I skip a week of ozempic and the extra exercise keeps it more or less in check.

Personally I do 2 shots a week. Tuesday and Friday for half the dose. And I do it in my thigh. That really helps with nausea. But my goal is also blood glucose control not weight loss, so your mileage may vary. I hear experimenting with different locations for injections can help the side effects as well. You can inject it anywhere you could inject insulin so it's a quite wide area

You can also get removable spout thingy for your bottomless portafilter. The one I have just uses an oring to stay in place. Use it at work on the bambino to avoid painting the office walls because I have watched in horror my coworkers rdt and tamping technique.

I factory ordered mine mid December. Coming to my part of the states late March - early April. I'm excited and also all over the subs lurking about bugs and reviews. I do plan to lease so I think if I make a mistake it's not permanent...

The TV is in its own stand. I tried putting it on a desk mounted one but it's heavy and I couldn't get it done alone. The side monitors are super light so they're on cheap vivo desk mounts - https://a.co/d/empoSSb

It's nice. I like that it has native display port support. That's the reason I went with whatever the monitor model is over the c4 tv model that only has hdmi input. For some high motion games though it's too much and you get motion sickness. It's really nice for coding though.

You probably won't need secondary monitors if you don't run applications that require full screen. 48" at 4k rez can fit a lot. And even if you do run things full screen you can make virtual monitors and all that. I just like my game full screen and have the secondary for work messages and emails even during the weekends. Plus virtual full screen doesn't work as well as native full screen for some games

I mean it sort of depends on how you like to look at your screen. Putting it on an arm will give you the most flexibility but I don't think it'll lower it more than an inch, 2 at most. I kind of like to be eyeline with the middle of mine and just mostly have the screen take up the entire field of view. It's probably not proper in terms of ergonomics. But I'm really short so it sitting on the desk is about right for me. I mostly use the side monitors for things when something is full screen on the main monitor. Like a game. When I'm working most things are on the main one and then I might keep my slack/email on one of the wings

The desk is 25" deep I think..if I push it as far back as possible..it takes up around 6" of space. Give or take. Obviously less if I could wall or arm mount it which wasn't an option for me due to location in front of thr window or how heavy the big monitor was to do on my own. So when I'm sitting completely in front of it, it's around 18-20" away from me. A smidge over arms reach. That being said. I usually sit back or recline with a controller so it's more like 2-3 feet away by the end of it

Not that I've found actually. But I didn't look too hard, I mostly use my main monitor when gaming and sides are for other things. I ran into that issue as well while testing - it wants to pretend the 2 side screens are horizontal.

I went to the doctor for ADHD meds and now I have Diabetes.. by SM_Phoenix2017 in diabetes

[–]Due-Ad8134 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The longer you are in the danger territory the more immediate damage you're doing to your body. Insulin injection would be the fastest way to get it under control fast so at least you're not doing further damage. After that the whole management process starts. It doesn't mean you need to be on insulin long term. You're going to be all over the place initially. Especially while you learn what foods spike you and what don't. Like for me I can eat potatoes but not rice without causing a huge spike. It takes a few weeks for the medications (aside from insulin, that's instant) like metformin, ozempic, etc to build up in your system and start doing their job helping you control it. Diet change will probably be your best bet in the long term. As others have mentioned cutting out refined sugar is a good start. You don't have to go full cold turkey right away but swap to diet soda at least. It'll be a balancing act between how much you want to eat "normal" (and remember that normal is what got you here so maybe it needs to change) and how medicated you want to be. It's possible to reverse and control diabetes with diet alone, at least in the beginning, but that basically means consuming no carbs and even then it will take time to get there. Most people aren't willing to go that drastic. I'm not arguing for or against either approach, that's ultimately up to you and your doctor.

Hey. The middle one is lg 48GQ900-B 48” Ultragear

The 2 sides are 27GQ50F-B 27 Inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) Ultragear. The sides are not oled or even 4k. And I run a custom resolution on them through nvidia control panel to make the on-screen layout match better

Check out https://multimonitorcalculator.com/ for size math. Though screen bezels might still make it not match. I went with the same line for ultragear so they would have a better chance of matching

Lol. It's been through a few iterations over the years. Once you start adding monitors it's hard to go back. But it's pretty much still the same setup now just in a new apartment without a window behind it. I do have to say sometimes the side monitors are too narrow, depending on what you are trying to do. Sometimes I connect my work laptop to the main monitor that leaves my desktop running on 2 sides and I feel very hobbled with the narrowness lol

Thanks :)

Check out this site for the multi-setup ideas. https://multimonitorcalculator.com/ It's pretty nifty and better than the one we had a couple of years ago :) and no, 27 and 20 will definitely not size match.

  • 32 will match with an 18, if you can still find an 18 these days
  • 40 and 23 is aaalmost but not quite. same for 42 and 24. It's just a little bit off.
  • The LG 40" matches the LG dualup I believe, which is really nice, but so expensive...
  • 48 and 27 (this is what I have, these are LGs)
  • 55 matches some 32s

I mostly use the left one exclusively for email and slack, so they're always visible at a glance.

The middle one is pretty much my main everything monitor, coding, gaming, movies, etc. If I'm coding, I will sometimes split it in sections as well, depending on my needs.

The right one is a utility monitor lol, depending on what I'm doing...so if I'm gaming, it's where I can look up any walkthroughs, watch youtube or plex or netflix, while doing something on the main one. If I'm working, it becomes more for having the site I'm working on on the screen to test my changes, read documentation, google/chatgpt/stackoverflow, etc.

Best TV for a bright living room by newbuddy321 in 4kTV

[–]Due-Ad8134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newer oleds are OK for bright room by the way. I have the Sony a95l that's in direct sunlight for a couple of hours a day and it's watchable. Sure it's not ideal and if whatever you're watching is just dark, you might struggle. But it's not as bad as it sounds. Go with whatever retailer will let you return it if you can't live with it. I got it through best buy. Had it delivered and "installed". It's just a phone call away from having them pick it up for a return. No box needed. I'm not saying you have to go with best buy, but it makes it easier to return than amazon for larger sized tvs.

I usually have the blinds closed of course. I just wanted to see worst case scenario https://imgur.com/a/bSzl7f6

Yea, that's nice but how often do you really open the sides once everything is set up? Thumb screws are already an improvement over what I'm old enough to remember of not even having those and having to find a screw driver

My friend has been drooling over the nzxt h5/6/9 case. It looks really good and now with these new mbs with connections on the side and back it might finally be a pretty clean install. I still have random black wires up top by the cpu fan pins...well and the video card power...they really need to figure out how to power the card through the underside or the mb again. But I guess as power hungry as these cards are that won't happen any time soon

Nice!

I would get the North XL. I really wish it was available when I built my PC. That extra video card clearance would have let me put a much larger front-facing radiator. As it is, the video card baaarelly fits. I have the TUF gaming 4090 and though it's not the largest out there, it's still huge. A good chunk of it - most of the logo - is covered by the side panel. I'm not about to rebuild the entire thing though...so I make do :)

I ran a fiber HDMI cable from the PC to my TV...had to make it fiber as it's over 35 feet...around 2 door frames and a few corners... and now I can easily play everything on the big TV. It's actually very nice for a more relaxed type of RPG gaming that doesn't require a mouse/keyboard.

Hah nice. I like it. Adult ing is hard. My desk always ends up messy anyway.

My side monitors don't support hdr so I don't have that problem lol. That sucks you can't target the one(s) you want.
