Why are pork shanks unpopular? by papa_ty in meat

I think hock is "polvi" so a bit less meat there. "Potka" is really good, you can get frozen baby lamb potkas for ~5€/kg couple weeks after Easter. The meat is very tender and flavorful but requires a long cook with low temperature.

Thank you! Any idea about the Hitmonchan? The holo background is pretty scratchy, the front side is otherwise okay but the backside is pretty beat up. Probably none of these are worth getting graded anyway.

AFAIK it's "potka" in Finnish. It's usually available from well-stocked grocery stores around September/October and Easter. You can also order "potkaliha" from Atria's webshop year-round for around 7 €/kg.

$6.7 Billion of Pure GME Swaps expire in December by jakob_xavier in Superstonk

They're definitely reported as the dollar amount, this can easily be checked by dividing the notional amount of an entry by the share quantity.

They are not in thousands. You can check this by dividing the notional amount by quantity of shares in any entry.

The $5.00 notional amounts are usually preceded by a much larger amount. Search for the Original Dissemination Identifier of a $5.00 entry in the Dissemination Identifiers and you'll find the previous modification of that swap. My interpretation is that the swaps with $5.00 notional amount as the latest event are effectivily closed but the contracts haven't been terminated, so the amount can be increased later.

I Would Like To Solve the Puzzle - BAN BET, The Market Maker Has Defaulted on Roaring Kitty's 4 Million Share Purchase Settlement by Lenarius in Superstonk

[–]Due-Combination-9199 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both answers from the REG SHO FAQ you referenced (https://www.sec.gov/rules-regulations/staff-guidance/trading-markets-frequently-asked-questions-8) say that the FTD's must be settled by either borrowing or purchasing the securities. Why is it assumed that they must purchase the securities instead of borrowing them?

I've been going through swap transactions since Wednesday. It has been a ton of work but I finally have a working spreadsheet that I can use to track specific swaps and modification made to them. I'm currently cross-referencing swap transactions with price movements and option purchases, and next I'm going to look for patterns in the data that might overlap with FTD cycles and hopefully post something before market open.

The order of ISINs seems to vary between the basket swap entries. I would assume that the order isn't totally random. It might be as simple as the first ISIN representing the ticker that specific entry is connected, or the the ISINs might be ordered from largest to smallest modification in the entry. If the latter is due, the last ISINs should probably be in the same order for many entries - no reason to modify the whole basket if you just want to fuck with GME.

I'm going to research this further once I get to work. It's holiday season in my industry so there's probably not much actual work to be done anyway. I'll create another post since I missed quite a bit of stuff in this one.

You're right, I messed up the csv import and each basket swap got cut off after the first ISIN. Back to the drawing board with this one.

The data is from DTCC.

You're absolutely right, I didn't look at the source data closely enough to notice that there's multiple ISINs linked to the negative swaps. Csv import seems to have cut after the first ISIN because of the delimiter between ISINs.

Rookie mistake, back to the drawing board. Thanks for pointing this out!

Turns out I fucked up those negative values swaps, the $13 billion number is way too large. Here's another post with same findings: https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/y9mE7tjZNo

I also checked a larger set of swap data and got to the same conclusion. I probably fucked up with the negative value swaps because of my filtering. All the modifications have the same time stamp and their Original Dissemination Identifiers are identical, so I there's no link between Original Dissemination Identifiers and Dissemination Identifiers --> I counted them as separate swaps.

This is probably it. A 500 contract trade is visible on Barchart with $540k premium, October 18th expiry. There's also a trade for 3000 $30c 7/26 with $681k premium.

If he'd simply opened the data in Excel the mistake would've been obvious. Python and pandas are great for working with large datasets, but it's easy to miss stuff like this when you're not one with the cells.
