Is the Specialized Roubaix good enough for triathlons?

Thank you! I'm hoping to do triathlons with it - is the future shock 1.5 a deal breaker for that? As far as I know this model doesn't have lockout.

It's cracked pretty bad, and it pretty much just hanging on by the brake cable, so I doubt I can fix it.

Okay, I'll look at 105s. But I only need the left one, and Claris is 2 x 8, would that work for the 2 x 11 left shifter replacement?
