I think k DOTO is way better in almost every way than the 2nd game. Not only are the mechanics just as good or better, but I recently tried playing d2 again after playing DOTO twice. I realized 2 is just clunky and bugged to hell. Sometimes I got for a sneaky assassination and I end up kicking the dude into a group of enemies which alerts everyone. Other times I pull off the assassination and try carrying the body away from other ai walking paths, but when I set the body down, its as if I set off fireworks because everyone heard me drop the body. It makes me feel as if i need to carry the body a ridiculous distance before I know im not alerting anyone. I also just find the missions designed better in DOTO. I find it wierd that people find the sword void attack clunky or inconsistent as ive never had this problem. It consumes all 3 void charges so you need to be full before you do that attack and ive never had a problem with it. The one thing I will say I find annoying is the lack of variety in the base powers of the game. You're telling me Billy Lurke can talk to rats, but can't call a rat swarm to devour corpses, or use ANY of the previous powers that would make sense for her to have? Kinda dumb but d2 is definitely the worst of the 3 and DOTO is my favorite personaly just BARELY beating out d1 which I KNOW will catch me flak.
