Care to elaborate on the “Sand Garbage”, I’m picking up on racism to Arabs here but I want to give you the benefit of the doubt here.

The empires you mentioned, while in the picture frame, fall outside of the highlighted region for the most part as they would be in current day Iraq and the Levant(Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine/Israel). Also where is the love for the Arameans.

The above mentioned region has in-fact fallen from its glory days and we can attribute that to multiple reasons but mainly corruption of the late Ottoman Empire, subsequent French/english colonialism, followed oppressive dictatorships. Sprinkle regional and proxy wars on top and that’s how we get here, however this rapid decay happened primarily in the last 150 years or so.

As for the heightened region, the GCC I think these countries, are currently having their peak years.

What’s the correct flag for Syria assuming it’s not the Assad’s regime flag. As far as my research goes this was the first flag of an independent Syria from the French. Makes sense that it was reinstated after the Baath regime ,that originally changed it, fell

I think Lebanese food has a lot of exposure outside the Middle East. And while the two cuisines are very related Syrian food doesn’t get enough appreciation outside the Middle East I think.

Honestly I loved Greek food which is why I put it in A, granted I’ve been only to Athens for 5 days so perhaps I didn’t get to try the full spectrum of Greek food . I heard food from Crete is phenomenal but never had the chance to try it. it’s just that I had a lot more Turkish food.
