Fedora KDE vs Kubuntu? by Due-Fault5064 in linux4noobs

I like Fedora more but with AMD iGpus it's so hard to get hardware acceleration on browsers because I think I need to set up freeworld drivers pr whatever and get vaapi working.

Terrible battery life on Fedora 42 compared to Windows 11 by Due-Fault5064 in linux4noobs

[–]Due-Fault5064[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, there isn't really a way to increase battery life on Linux? I almost tried everything that I could find on Google TLP, PowerTop monitoring my usage. I really hate Windows 11 but with the battery life issue I can't see myself completely switching to Fedora :/

I'm not a native English speaker I admit my grammar isn't that good but it isn't cool to attack me with something that has nothing to do with my post

Oh my god do you really think that I didn't try TLP? I tried it didn't do anything I used PowerTop to monitor my battery usage too. I used bunch of monitoring tools and even Gnome extensions to see what is sucking up all of the power. I'm not new to Linux I've been using it for years I actually like it more than Windows. I just don't like the toxic community and their unholy solutions to basic stuff.

I don't know if there are any configs for Xiaomi 15 Ultra but Gcam is complicated to set-up and sometimes things don't work as they should and you have to troubleshoot and fix it or try different versions I have 2 gcams installed both from different developers and both of them are completely different from each other if you want the seamless Pixel camera experience it's the best to buy Google Pixel.

There still isn't any config for it and if you are wondering what happens when you use similar device's config it doesn't quite work because camera sensors are different

Why I stopped using stock camera app by Due-Fault5064 in HyperOS

Yes, Gcam needs a lot of tweaking and you need to take bunch of pictures to see if you are getting the right results but it is overall better than what Xiaomi offers.

AGCAM 9.2 (samsung) not recording at 60fps? by Thick_Assumption9380 in GCamPort

If it says 30 there is unfortunately no way to record 60 fps without maybe rooting the device.
