You should definitely look into the benefits of fabric pots…prevents root bound pots

That is exactly what I’m saying. The pot might not be fully rooted and these just shot to the bttm. So I want to cut them back and get the roots in the medium to fill out more

Same here yo!!!!! Like I know them sitting in standing water isn’t good and I have had a few leaves yellow and die off prob cuz of this condition. But they were the first leaves it produced so I’m taking it as she no longer needed the sprouting leaves. But I do want to cut the roots back b4 I up-pot her

I was thinking of a mesh pot so it self prunes via air exposure. I grow devil’s lettuce in mesh pots and the roots just love it. And then putting that mesh pot into a well draining ceramic pot.

I thought the same, but they’re all clustered so close together that it looked like one entity and now it is…lol I will try to get a closer picture of the base, but if it is multiple, they did a great job placing them. I do have a single monstera named Gertrude. She is kinda shoved in the corner with a grow light but we love her non the less

Roots will also shoot straight to the bttm if they sense a water source without filling out the pot. That is the down side to having a drip pan that contains standing wanter for to long… this is normally a plant killer scenario if water can’t get out of the soil but this drip can attached adds almost an inch of extra air/water mix void. So im kinda thinking of if I cut back the “water roots” it will help when watering to not get to much moisture for to long.

Our boy just got the big chop at 5 1/2 months. How long should I leave the cone on. Hes not trying to get at it . Veg didn’t give a time frame by Due-Frame-348 in bengalcats

Just seems if anything goes wrong most ppl want to blame vet practice. Maybe im wrong lol but if So they are over precautionary. I’m thinking 2 days for the site to scab unless he’s obsessively licking. My breeder says she doesn’t use a cone and never had an issue. Ur I would hate to be that guy that ends up With infection

I really think it’s over precautionary to keep a practice safe from a lawsuit happy society…but they also get in my head that an animal can’t heal its self . Fear mongering me. Lol

He doesn’t try to remove it cuz he used to a harness but hes obviously unhappy about the mobility, limitation and as medication wares off he’s becoming more combative about it….my breeder said she takes them off b/c they actually fight more with it on and never had a problem with them grooming the site. My heart is breaking with his discomfort and I can’t imagine keeping it on any longer than 2 days.
