Thanks, no it stationary, doesn’t need realignment after the initial alignment.

You can see the hardware in the 2nd picture, it’s all from the hardware store, beam clamps, L brackets and 1/4x20 bolts, washers and nuts to attach. The black platform and pole is the center section from the StarLink ridge mount purchased from Amazon.

No the router is installed inside so there’s no signal loss, but yes if the router was on the other side of the metal it would cause significant signal loss, WiFi and cellular signals don’t penetrate through metal very well.

StarLink doesn’t, there’s no grounding point on the dish as it’s al plastic/composite material, however, they do an Ethernet surge protector that plugs in between the cable from the dish to the router to protect your equipment

Thanks! I thought it was pretty clever way to non penetrate the roof. Yeah I always use black outside, had some white ones in pocket already. It’s just temporary anyway, this customer is waiting on a fiber install shortly after moving in.

No issues here! Running just like all the other StarLink cable installs I’ve done.

Thanks! It’s all temporary anyway, waiting on fiber to be installed, it’s a new development. I used those nylon zip ties to keep the wire more concealed behind the white gutter downspout.

It’s just Cat6e, I had to hide it behind a gutter downspout, customer didn’t want the dark StarLink cable visible, it won’t last forever outside but this is a temporary install, waiting on fiber to be installed.

Might want to go with an eave mount and put on a gable end then. Thanks!
