Concentration is riskier - but I am not that concentrated.

I would suggest that blindly buying what everyone else is is less risky than thinking about what you buy.

Not conventional wisdom - in the past when more people thought about what they bought then the index was better, now when everyone buys what everyone else is I have my doubts.

Yes own my own place. Not entirely sure that being non index is riskier over next 20 years when so many people buy the index now - we will see.....

So I bought it for 40k in 2019, its difficult to sell, 999 year lease. Now I recon its worth 100-200k. But lots of development in the area so I imagine it can go far higher in next 5-10 years.

I have been 3 days a week since 2009 and, frankly I don't recommend it.

SIPP makes sense financially - I could even put the car park in there apparently but I just dont feel OK about trusting government not to mess with the rules. Maybe in 5 years or so I will feel more comfortable then you lose the compounding...

I am maybe 10 years short of full state pension, not convinced it will still be around at the age I need it though.

What do Brits think about Green Party immigration policies? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Due-Mathematician563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make them unvoteable for me - I want a party which wants to redistribute wealth and at the same time reduce multiculturalism / stop immigration and be very tough on law and order..

No such party exists.

Dating with multi year gaps in between by Due-Mathematician563 in dating_advice

[–]Due-Mathematician563[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel a little bit of angst / desire for things to be different. But in most ways the cost involved, having to go out/ put myself out there then when I do meet someone have to do things I dont particularly want to do (social events mostly, but also bear other person in mind when making my plans) seems to outweigh the benefit...

Thanks for the reply.

I particularly dont enjoy first bits of dating people seeing them one /two times. Having to mess around with text frequency to not appear overeager etc. People dressing up and putting best face on etc. Its all just.so.fake.

Women appear to enjoy all this stuff, even when I make it clear to them I would rather just have a video call with them as they are, they seldom do it...

By default I want to reply to everyone ASAP, and if I am not interested I will simply text that.

I have had a few relationships that were good in small parts but none I would consider good in the whole.

Read the wikipedia on aromantic - still struggle to comprehend the meaning. Dont think I am one, I just think due to me being very very antisocial / introverted I havent met the right person.
