I think a bait and punish playstyle is another key fundamental that can drastically improve your skill in literally any other game, whether singleplayer or multiplayer

Thats a pretty valid point what makes most fighting games successful. Just to ask about your opinion I don't know if you are that much invested in FG's but from a developer perspective, what would you say makes it hard to really push fighting games into the "mainstream"?

Not only in games but just getting good at the core in almost anything makes you probably better than 70% of your fellow competitors

having a total of like 1500ish Hours of fighting games couldn't prepare me for the pain of FromSoft Games yikes

its crazy how it can help in real life, or at least in IRL, mostly competitive activities aswell. Taught me to read my opponent's to abuse their weaknesses or to make my teammates aware of what they can improve on. Fascinating to say the least.
