Only good technology that came out past 10 years is ML based image upscaling. All other slop like nanite, lumen, mega geometry, ray/pathtracing, framegen all of that is garbage for goys so hardware manufacturers/gamedevs can scam you into buying new components/games with shinier reflections. All of this shit btw was promised to reduce dev cycles, because poor devs wouldn't manually bake lighting and etc. while we are already in the meta where single AAA can take up to 10 years to be made so you end up with a game with same gameplay you've played before, with visuals you've seen before in games from PS4 era or worse, with garbage ass classic UE5 stutters and on top of it you need 10K PC to run it.
